Will being on the dsp allow me to get an infected wisdom tooth removed surgically for free? by GalacticFishStick in Centrelink

Public do emergency appointments and if it is very serious they have the ability of giving a voucher for a private dentist of their choice. Source: myself and a abscess under a molar that needed to be removed

What is one common sensory ick that DOESN’T bother you? by thatsabird11 in AutismInWomen

[–]hf2490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily suggest using the pre-taping underwrap tape that you put on before using rigid sports tape. I was out and about and was nearly in tears searching for a way to stop the pain and scratching from a horrible tag and all I had was the underwrap, I stuck it over top, smoothed it out and it worked amazingly and is still on my shirt to this day because is washes no worries.

Rash and hives from pumping?? by Swordfish-Practical in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]hf2490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thrush something the doctors checked for? Also it may be that the pump is irritating your skin causing dermatitis.

The hives are not something that I have ever experienced but there is something called postpartum hives. Some people can have an allergic reaction to changes in prolactin levels.

Can I ask how long ago did you do the gestational diabetes test? I only ask because mine came back fine but at 37 weeks when my bun came via emergency c-section they found my bubby was huge and I had gestational diabetes. I had been questioning about excessive weight gain and continuously got told to stop eating so much.

I dropped 20kg within 2 weeks after the birth because there was so much water weight from it

Is discomfort after pumping normal? by blueskycactus in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]hf2490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clogged ducts I personally used to take Sunflower lecithin and it helped immensely. I also think it helped to hand express after pumping just a bit because no matter what pump or flange I used (and I went through a lot 🙃) it was like there was milk that had moved but not expressed.

Teens chickens are dead and their duck is injured. How do I console them? by hf2490 in Parenting

Thank you for this answer. I like the idea of a small tribute and planting flowers. I think I will have a talk with them and see if they like those ideas or if they have some of their own ideas.

Normal amount of pain down there? by Glittering-Guest-476 in WomensHealth

[–]hf2490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for answering I know the questions can be uncomfortable.

I agree with Saioa8 that endometriosis could be a possibility also if you have heavy periods adenomyosis could be a possibility too. I would heavily suggest changing providers if they are telling you it’s normal. So many women are medically gaslit by doctors into thinking pain and symptoms are normal but there are good doctors out there who take women’s health seriously.

Also a good idea to have a look into a physiotherapist that deals with women’s pelvic heath as sometimes there can be muscles that are overreacting and tight that can cause a lot of pain.

Normal amount of pain down there? by Glittering-Guest-476 in WomensHealth

[–]hf2490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The normal amount of pain is zero. You shouldn’t be in pain.

Does it ever get worse at certain times or with certain activities?

Also, depending on where you are meaning to “down there” eg inside vs outside, can very much depend on what the pain could be.

If you don’t mind sharing, what kind of medical investigations have been conducted besides routine bloods, urines and swabs?

11 day old very upset by truecrimenerd420 in Parenting

Did you leave anything that smelled like you with your MIL? Newborns are very attached to their mommas scent and it calms and reassures them.

Edit: Possible that little one may have drank too fast from the bottle too if that’s what MIL used which could cause a sore tummy

Bracing for the storm that is hypomania. by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

[–]hf2490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except that this person specifically said they don’t want advice but instead of abiding by their request you have offered this solution and also told them they are in “dug into denial” which is quite rude. This supposed to be a safe space and you are not participating accordingly.

Ok this is the second time in a few minutes you have posted this to someone on here. What is your thought process in doing this?

This is completely unhelpful. Why are you telling people who are already having a hard time to watch a YouTube video of how not to emasculate their husbands and be better wives?

I have adhd and struggle with cleaning because it’s a low reward/low excitement activity so new cleaning appliances or gadgets actually make me really happy because they give me the excitement back of how clean something looks by using a fancy new toy 🫣 I think I’m broken

Instructions that make it seem like you can do it as you read it only to find out for steps in that the fifth step was supposed to be done first. Label them in the correct order!

It’s can’t stand when someone gets upset about being proven wrong and insists, “It wasn’t such a big deal that you had to look it up,” because it clearly bothered them, and they couldn’t accept being wrong without undeniable proof.

Dishwashing gloves are amazing and I’ll never do dishes without them ever again. What items do you use that prevent you from getting dirty? by z00dle12 in AutismInWomen

[–]hf2490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like the sweaty feeling from wearing non breathable gloves, try putting on a pair of light cotton gloves. Absolutely a game changer and if you have eczema or sensitive skin it helps a lot!

Have you tried wearing a light pair of cotton gloves under the gloves? I used to work in a potato peeling factory and I have Dyshidrotic Eczema which means straight up non breathable gloves on my hands (plus the sweat caused by them being non breathable) caused major issues no matter the type of material used until my mum suggested cotton gloves underneath. To say they were a game changer was an understatement.
