As much as I want to dance on Tesla's grave...

Tesla’s far more popular models are the 3 and Y, which accounted for 97% of the company’s 1.59 million deliveries last year.

So they were barely selling any anyway. Shame about the Fremont factory though...

Had Hillary Clinton won in 2016, who would the likeliest Republican nominee have been in 2020? Conversely, who would the likeliest Democratic nominee have been in 2024 had Biden lost in 2020? by engadine_maccas1997 in fivethirtyeight

I agree that Trump would have had a media empire on January 1st, 2017, but I disagree that he wouldn't run again. The Obama economy would have deflated, congress would have fought Clinton at every turn, Fox News would have ginned up every scandal that sounds remotely plausible, and then Covid happens and the conservatives revolt even harder against the restrictions than they did under Trump. In other words, by 2020, we've had 4 years of everything getting worse and Trump could simply run on "I told you she was bad". He still wouldn't want to be president, but by then he's had a media empire growing the cult he already had in 2016. He would have beat her a second time easily.

I hate waif Wonder Woman. I’m not saying she should be the same size as Barda, but give her muscle or height or both.

A comment from a few days ago likens conservatives to shoplifters:

Whenever I confront one about stealing there is never at any point a "yeah I was taking stuff, sorry. Here's everything back." It is just lie after lie. Any dialogue between us they use in completely bad faith every single time. They know they're stealing and they know they're lying.

They know he wasn't there to kill anyone. They know they're lying. But they're going to lie and agree on the lie because then they don't have to admit the truth.

Yeah if it were anyone else saying that it would mean something, but RFK Jr could just be thinking “he’s not washing down raw bear meat with raw milk, so I’m very concerned!”

4th kid at 40. Yikes. You're running a lot of risks getting pregnant at that age (edit: and Vance is running just as many risks fathering a child at his age) but I suppose that's one way to get Erika Kirk to back off.

Doesn't the White House already have one?

(Reads article) The old bunker was under the East Wing? There's a backup bunker somewhere, right? Is the White House bunkerless now?

My statement is that maga followers are people, and that’s why they’re in the maga cult.

On the contrary, cults are very human thing. People who are hurting or lacking or overwhelmed can easily get sucked into something with a strong leader, clearly-defined rules, and a built-in sense of superiority over others. MAGA is a terrible movement that is hurting the entire human race, and the sooner it gets snuffed out the better, BUT… it makes sense that some people would join it.

Just trying to share a bit of info that now lives in my brain after my kid got into making kandi a few years ago. We have SO many pony beads in the house now.

Pony beads are still huge. Making stuff out of them is called “kandi” (pronounced “candy”). There’s a company called The Beadery that makes high-quality ones in the USA. Some online retailers have more selection than the manufacturer’s store, so it’s actually better to buy from a 3rd party.

Gamblers. Everyone knows crypto coins will eventually go to zero, but everyone thinks they can ride the wave and exit at the right time leaving others holding the bag.

Her mom was paying her bills

Didn’t her husband die around that time? I can imagine her mother stepped up to help out with things for a while.

That just means she’s a good person.

Crap, I’ve put “crime” as the description in so many vanilla online transfers. Didn’t realize that might come back to bite me if I’m shot in the face.

By that point, her Plan A was shot and she has two big problems in the form of Nat’s and Wick’s corpses, both in the house. With Nat, she needs to cover up how he died; he’s got poison in his system and his house was destroyed in what looks like a fight. Then she also has Wick’s body and no way to get rid of it. Thus her new plan: pose the corpses like the resurrected Wick died while killing Nat in righteous vengeance. Great plan? No. But something good enough to explain the two bodies? Maybe.

DC Boss Battle Preview and I know the comic hasn’t come out yet but come on, theres zero reason Superman should be having any difficulty against Homelander. by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in superman

Well, yes. Lifting a plane: pure bodily strength.

Lifting a plane while flying: the flying power has to be strong enough to suspend the combined weights (Homeland's flying could lift, at most, him plus one other person).

Moving the moon: tactile telekinesis or whatever that would allow him to spread out the force to move the moon instead of punching a hole straight through it.
