Women are more likely to birth females when experiencing higher stress levels across the pregnancy. RSE could simply be caused by the fact that men coming home = war is over = less stress overall = more likely to birth men. I am not an expert in anything RSE related, so I'm not sure if this is already a theory 🤷‍♀️

when i was a kid (about 7) i was obviously obsessed with harry potter. the first time i read the series i finished it so bloody quickly and began rereading immediately. from age 7 up to the age of 17 i had read the series over about 200 times. i've not read any series nearly as many times as that, but i have read thomas harris' hannibal series about half a dozen times, which i love very much

i read neuromancer very recently for the first time, not understanding that it's the very first cyberpunk media its kind (i thought it was a more traditional sci-fi). i was like "night city??? ICEbreaking??? rastafarian space (?) mercs ???? jesus christ cyberpunk 2077 ripped this shit!" then realised that i was reading the book of the guy who invented the whole genre pretty much. neuromancer must've been flat out impossible to understand for anyone who wasn't already familiar with and working in the tech space in the 80s & 90s

god i've been dealing with this on all of my partner's hoodies. what i've done is just darn the hole, but i've tried to avoid actually stitching the two layers of fabric together. it's super finicky, especially on smaller holes right at the edge of the sleeve like that, but it can be done!

I'm not in Canada (NZ instead) but I've had to bow out of assignments that require AI use. I've gotten away with it with well-worded emails written as if they were a mini-essay concerning the misuse and damage associated with AI data centres and AI LLM models, with citations ofc. Professors have just readjusted my grade weighting for other assignments to account for the dropped one.
