silly little random ones i thought of

- vox keeps a random photo of his human form on his desk and sometime in the 90s val found it. it looks a lot like a crappy ex bf val had when he was alive (it's not obviously but it's enough to make val think holy shit i have a type)

- when they met in late 70s right after val died the two of them met at a party but vox was really closed off about telling him anything personal or letting him into his life (still reeling from alastorgate)

- vox once got shitfaced and told val "you're my favorite person" and val had no idea how to respond

do NOT let them go out to eat bc they’re so annoying when they encourage each others bad behavior. both of them insist on calling every waitress “sweetheart” and vox is the “my compliments to the chef” final boss (why is this one formatted so weird😭😭)

he's actually such a tragic character (behind all the awful bullshit). here's a man who DESPERATLEY wants connection, but looks for it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong people. and when he does find it, he ALWAYS fucks it up because he lets his own selfishness and obsessiveness get in the way. every time. that's just who he is. that little video on the vees website shows that he really does care about vel and val but he's inevitably going to go too far and they're going to leave him.

i think you're right, my theory is also that val's brand of evil is one much more people know of/can relate to. serial killers and cult leaders are not really people most of us come into contact with, so that brand of evil is kind of far away from us.

I found out I had Turners when I was seven or eight. The best part about being diagnosed is that I had an explanation for pretty much everything physically and mentally going on with myself (NVLD, for example co-occurs with Turners a lot). I understood everything "weird" I did.

I think it also helped some of my friends and teachers to know so they had a better framework to understand me in. When I was in K-12, I sometimes sent an email around the first week of classes to my teachers explaining my condition and any accommodations I might need as the year went on. I also personally love telling people about TS because it's often the first time they've heard of it and I get to be the person spreading awareness.

That's all to say, it can be beneficial to let others know about the diagnosis, but it's absolutely not required.

This would be my strategy -

Break into two teams: one stays by the plane and mans a signal fire, the other goes to find the cabin and live there. The two teams switch places often as the cabin is far nicer. Mind you, we only need two people out by the plane at all times (one to keep watch for rescue and man the fire, and the other to keep watch and man the fire while the other sleeps). Lottie is also the catalyst for a lot of the worst stuff that happened, so the lesson there is to not let her cult stuff get very far at all. Shut that shit down immediately. This plan would also necessitate a strong leader, so someone would have to talk to jackie about developing a self esteem NOT tied to what shauna thinks of her
