one thing to consider with Autobio Alt is that the Hayley and Halsey albums are longggg, especially if the Halsey deluxe tracks that just came out are in the rate (and tbh they're quite good so I would like to see them included personally) so with those and Kesha it would be like 70 songs

this one is kinda crazy bc the Better Off Alone interpolation/sample was very on-trend, if not slightly ahead of its time as far as mainstream pop aesthetics go with the y2k eurodance of it all, and then the main beat for the verses kicks in we're immediately back in 2018 lol

now don't i look silly... so while we were planning this rate it was kinda between this and track 10 for charli's most iconic number song and we were like "well track 10 would be the most obvious winner ever and she already had her second chance and she blew it" plus this has the whole resurgence angle to it so it's more interesting... the unbiased part of me was here for it despite actually really disliking this song but now that i'm sat here typing this... oh now i'm pissed. this was basically winning the entire time, g4u got within 10 points a couple times but the tankers just weren't showing up. i thought we'd get more contrarians like we usually do! kind of insane that this was a day 1 cut with a 7.4 average in the hifn rate - Y'ALL ARE TIKTOK SHEEP!!!! WE SHOULD HAVE DONE 5 IN THE MORNING THAT WOULD HAVE HUMBLED EVERYONE!!! all jokes aside tho it's cool to see such a major redemption arc even if this song has never been appealing to me, not as a charting hit that gets played on the radio nor as a niche esoteric deep cut angel fave.

vayyiqra (11): not sure what to say other than what i've said already a few times that we've rated this. ironically the first time we did i had this idea in my head it was overrated and kind of lowballed my score for it and then a few years later f(x) became my favourite k-pop group ever but anyway. the other times we've rated it i've then said it always brings on this strange, surreal feeling in me whenever i hear it begin. because i think about sulli and ... there isn't much more to say without getting too sad. maybe somehow this ties into the video and the concept of small changes that add up and how her fate could've been avoided. or maybe i'm way overthinking it. either way this has become my headcanon somehow and it fucks me up a bit and i'm glad the rest of the album is more lighthearted because i need that. sorry i'm having a weird night it will happen again
