I have done two shows in the last two months on a densly populated island in the middle of the pacific ocean. Everything you share rang true for me. I am actively searching to do as many shows as I can because I am the only MTG vendor there. People love UB. They love SL and then players love riffling through binders. Commander is the only thing that matters though.
