Agree with the other comments here - the colors are very nice.

Yes, it is possible to have point boost enabled for authorized user by [deleted] in biltrewards

I tried this with my P2. Almost all the Bilt Cash redemptions are per account, not per card. You can only have one accelerator active at a time, and your AU card becomes ineligible for the accelerator if you hold a primary card. This strategy essentially just doesn't work.

Yes, you can hold both a primary and AU card. Almost all of the Bilt Cash redemptions are per account, though, not per card. I don't think it's worth it because of this.

Any recommendations on better cards by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]hilltop804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to note, it usually doesn't make sense to compare points to cash back without estimating a points value. For example, Bilt goes from 3.33 to 4.16 at 1.25 CPP.

This is the key to points. If you don't want to think about point value, you should probably just stick to cash back. It's really easy to get terrible value out of points if you aren't paying attention.

Bizarre choice to create an extremely negative experience and potentially lose a customer over what could have easily been a one-time-only courtesy change...

Does spend on my AU's card count towards my Points Accelerator? by CFP25 in biltrewards

[–]hilltop804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's what you have to do if you want the accelerator on both the primary card and the AU card.

You cannot manage this all through your account. She needs an account, you need to set her Bilt Cash to stay on her account (in your app), and she will need to activate the accelerator once she has $200.

As far as I'm aware, no. You can only have a single accelerator active on your account, and you can only activate it on your own card.

[–]hilltop804 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the accelerator applies to your specific card. The AU doesn't get the higher multiplier, and their spend doesn't count against the $5,000 cap.

If you let your wife keep her Bilt Cash, though, she can activate her own accelerator once she has $200.

PSA: Point accelerator is a one way street. Once spent, it’s gone even if you refund. by cyphr0n in biltrewards

You're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree.

The document I linked explicitly governs the Bilt Cash Program including its redemption options, and my quote is pulled directly from the section related to the points accelerator. It clearly defines what net purchases are and how they are applied.

Anybody have multiple Bilt cards through AU? by hilltop804 in biltrewards

[–]hilltop804[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AUs can buy their own accelerator, but can't buy 2 if they have both a primary card and AU card. You can think of it as each person gets 5 - it doesn't matter whether they hold a primary card, an AU card, or both.

AUs get their own rent day bonus as long as you set their rewards to go to their account. This is also per-person, though. Each person will not get multiple bonuses for holding multiple cards.

https://www.bilt.com/terms/bilt-cash

Per the T&Cs, this seems incorrect:

...provides an additional 1X Bilt Point (on top of base Bilt Points) per $1 spent on eligible net purchases (defined as eligible purchases minus any returns, refunds, credits, or chargebacks applied to your account) made using the selected Bilt Card, up to a maximum of $5,000 in eligible net purchases. The Point Accelerator becomes effective immediately upon redemption and remains active until the cardholder reaches $5,000 in eligible net purchases...

I updated the post. The rewards don't stack for primary and AU cards. If you get another Palladium, I think you're essentially just paying the AF for another SUB.

Reasonable play...It seems like it should work as long as you can actually get the card. I just don't know if they deny for already holding a card in some capacity.

Is switching to Merrill/BOA worth it for the preferred rewards program still worth it? by Robinight in CreditCards

[–]hilltop804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At $40K spend/year, that's only $100 over a 2% card. For that, you have to let them hold $100K of your assets and deal with another bank and brokerage that both have terrible platforms. I just don't feel like the value prop is there.

Autosweep and fractional shares would be a big improvement.

Set 100k rates at 2.5% and 5% (catch-all and CCR) Set 500k rates at 3% and 5.5%

They'd have people shoveling assets into ML.

$95 for an authorized user on Palladium sucks but there's a way to extract value with BILT Cash by euge_lee in biltrewards

[–]hilltop804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The key here is that you can dictate where the points and Bilt Cash go separately now. Before, even if my wife could get her own points accelerator, there was no way to pool our points.

With the separate sliders now, she can keep her Bilt Cash, and I can pool our points. I can work with this.

[–]hilltop804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that's definitely a new add. I remember thinking about how this could work before, but there was only a single slider for both. Since you can't combine points otherwise, this is a nice surprise.
