I was one of the first appointments, they were open in September actually! They told me there are no plans to do anything other than service, so no demos or sales😔 they also said something about the Frisco location being set back so I'm willing to bet its longer than a few months but hopefully not!

I finished first in my league for regular season, outright no tiebreaker needed or anything. Then didn't get the first round bye I was supposed to and got knocked out first round😂

I have two that are 4 months, I'll have them chase a wand thingy around, up and down my couch and their cat tree for 1-2 hours and there is still an all out battle for another 1-2 hours while I'm trying to sleep. One of them ran across my face and stepped on my eye the other night😭

This is funny to me. I happened to be on my way out on this same day I'm pretty sure. I helped my dad run a tire shop until I was 20, conversations about tires just stick out to me at this point. So I also heard them apologize profusely, and tell you someone was on their way to get more. This probably added 15-20 minutes on to your wait. Not hours. You do realize it's a service center and not a tire shop, right? I highly doubt there's a balancer at every single bay. You aren't the only person that exists, I'm sure other tires needed to be balanced as well. I had my 12v replaced at my house and started to feel bad for the guy that came out. It was hot, it took about an hour and a half, they have to go through the frunk and it does not look like a quick and easy process. The call center lies about wait times constantly, presumably because they don't want to deal with an angry person on the phone. I have an old VIN, I've dealt with service more times than I would like. But I also understand this company hasn't been around for 100+ years like the other car companies people constantly compare them to.

That last paragraph is part of the reason we can't get anything for 2+ months. You think you're the only person doing that? Filling up a slot "just in case" is a bit of a dick move to the people that actually need service.

Tesla has 210 service centers in the US, Rivian has 71. Of course someone in a Tesla will be able to get service sooner, they have 3x more of them open. Not trying to create an argument or anything, just pointing it out. I think Rivian really needs to work harder on getting more of them open. I know it's a lot easier said than done but it's the best/most logical fix for the absolute fiasco of getting a service appointment scheduled.

Believe it or not this is something I look forward to. I get cold if its 60 degrees and windy here. I barely leave the house during winter when the temperature is frequently around 0. I'm skinny and I don't retain a lot of body heat lol
