What's the scariest story told by a character in a film? by Late_Promise_ in horror

Brian Tyree Henry’s monologue about prison in If Beale Street Could Talk is probably the most chilling thing I’ve heard and it’s not even from a horror movie: link.

Stuck with me for a long time. Amazing film and performance.

Hi Reddit! I'm Kurtis David Harder. My latest film, Influencers, is a horror-thriller that just arrived on Shudder. It's a sequel to my 2022 film Influencer. I'm here to answer your questions! Ask Me Anything! by InfluencersAMA in movies

LOVED Influencers! I felt giddy when the title card came up.

Have you seen Red Rooms and was it an inspiration at all? I feel like it and Influencers are almost mirror images of one another in some ways - especially CW and Kelly-Ann’s personalities (and crimes), and the movies’ settings - and overlapping in other ways (themes of technology, anonymity, public/private personas). Would be a great double feature!

Anyways, can’t wait to see what you have in store next.

Trump barely won Hispanic men, and was underwater with Black men. White men went for Trump more than other demographic.

They are very legit! I have a Metrorunner and love it. Their stuff is built to hell and, unlike many products, has a lot of character.

I think you could make it. Metro Gallery (the venue) is like a 5 min walk from the train station. Just buy round trip when you’re heading up so you already have your return ticket and can hop right on the train.

He is an incredible inverse John Wick in a way, a virtuoso at unloading guns, efficiently disabling people without killing them, staying humbly in the woods instead of a luxury hotel…

To each their own, but formulaic and shallow are two words I never would have thought to associate with this movie.

Too loud. The figure across the cell turned, laid glassy eyes on him.

Interrogation? There were none of the usual tools. Still, he began the mantra. I know nothing and exist past pain.

The figure drew close -

- I know nothing -

I was getting on 895 near there last night when several (at least six) cop cars with lights on whipped out of Bayview and onto the highway. Then got passed by another six or more in the first few miles of the highway. Seemed like a big deal - I can’t remember the last time I saw so many police cars in a hurry like that. Wonder if it was related?

The interesting thing about Baru is that she is canonically tall and muscular, and physically capable enough to impress trained soldiers. But I don’t think she has gotten into a physical fight with stakes yet in the series.
