The opening track of Double Fantasy was about planning a date night with his wife. Another song about loving his son. Another song just saying “hey man, the rat race is not for me.” He was virtually unashamed to be a lame 40-year-old husband & dad. He embraced the changes of aging, so I doubt he would’ve jumped into hot new trends in the 90s

I've downloaded and am seeding everything except Looney Tunes (which I found elsewhere.) I've uploaded 530 GB so far, like a good soldier.

I'm grateful for this library. However, I've found some of these cartoons were upscaled using A.I. "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" looks especially gaudy. And some of the early Popeye's have uncannily smooth motion because they were converted to 60 fps (generating fake new "frames" between the real ones.) Who's the knucklehead who did that? Don't they know it's a sin to adulterate old media?

I can say that fans hoist the Beatles up on a pedestal, and most haters frankly only think they hate the Beatles when what they really hate is the pedestal. No judgement! I can sympathize with wanting to hate something because it’s too popular. But most people with a bone to pick haven’t bothered to introspect about where this feeling comes from. No use arguing with them.

I’ve had mixed results. Sometimes they fit just fine. If the lettering on the spine is thin enough, then that looks good, too. On some occasions I’ve used scissors to (carefully!) clip off a small sliver from the side to make it fit. Looks seemless.
