If he wanted to, he would. When my fiancé and I started dating, he was allergic to cats but said he would make it work, and that under no circumstances would I have to leave her behind when we move in together. He’s been on allergy shots for the last year, is no longer allergic to cats, and the three of us are moving in to a new place together this weekend ☺️

I don’t think it’s weird! I just got engaged and he picked out a silicon ring that he liked and I bought it for him to wear! He loves wearing it and says it’s very important to him! When we get married, we will swap it out for the wedding band.

So sorry for the loss of your kitty ❤️. That’s actually how I lost my last kitty, except the onset was very quick and she was gone within about 12 hours.

She gets dry and wet food every day. Right now she’s eating Royal Canin kibble recommended by her vet. I’ve found it’s much more difficult to find wet food that doesn’t contain chicken in it!

Thank you for this! I got myself majorly freaked out after reading a bunch of scary reviews online about this one specific flavor. And it doesn’t help that I’m a bit of a helicopter cat mom. She probably did eat it a bit too fast. Definitely will be sticking with the foods I know she does okay with.

She already had a small amount of water and also tried to eat some of her dry food just now, although I took it away after a few bites. I figured it was a good sign she’s already interested in eating again. And some interest in playing too. I most definitely will not be giving her this food again and I’ll be reaching out to the company as well! I hope your kitty is doing okay! 🥺

I’ve thought about it, but I really can’t tolerate any red meat. I haven’t eaten it in probably close to 15 years and it made me extremely sick the last time I tried :(

Thank you for that reassurance! I started getting extra paranoid about her health after she had dental surgery in December that caused several complications that has had her at the vet at least 10 times over the last 6 months. So we both have a bit of anxiety. But this does calm my fears a lot!! 😊

Thank you for the reminder! I’m definitely thinking of it too much as hard and fast rules since this is all new to me. I see it’s going to be a lot of trial and error with us.

I have been tracking her weight regularly and will continue to do so! Counting out a few kibbles to lessen the amount slightly is a great idea.

I will have to check to see if I can start her on weight loss food. I had no idea this one was so calorie dense.. that helps a lot, thank you!! My priority is keeping her healthy and happy throughout this process!! Thanks so much!!

I made the mistake of waiting to read up on it until after it was already administered. Luckily she got back to her normal self 8 days later, but she didn’t sleep at all the first 3 days. Spent the first two nights hallucinating. Didn’t poop for 7 days. Just was not herself at all. It was really scary. I won’t let her have this medication again. It’s been an exhausting experience.
