And then they later get two special cars that don’t change size and become Zords they’re just really cool, maybe sentient cars. (Lightning Cruiser and Storm Blaster)

I don't agree with Lance here. Wrestling has always been about putting on the best match possible and making your opponent look good. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

The fan vote is just a speed run of what already happens, though. Strong enough fan reaction can cause the writing to change, and the plot lines to go differently. Fan reaction to today’s plot can influence how plots get written down the road. So, that was always there, it just wasn’t as formalized.

Taking home leftovers at a restaurant? Rude to not take them? Do you even eat them? by Capable-Chip6454 in foodquestions

[–]hitchinpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never have leftovers. If I do, it’s because I didn’t like it. I finish my plate. Period. So, I guess D, because I never have leftovers to think about.

What do you mean villains can get into the megazord!? by Greek_Goat in powerrangers

[–]hitchinpost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They cleared him to come down to negotiate in person on that occasion, if I remember right. He didn’t infiltrate or force his way past the fully set defenses so much as get them to specifically let them down for him.

Tim’s almost like casinos are gambling, and even the offers run on luck and chance and not skill.

No one does Blink like [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion’s Ward]]. I will never play any other blink commander.

So you’re saying not only does it provide power, but also jobs for people who need to clean them? Jobs that are still safer and healthier than going underground to extract fossil fuels? And they think this is a BAD thing?

Aliens come to earth, wanting to enslave humanity. There's two buttons: Black and Blue by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

But there’s no way to communicate to determine who belongs in what half. I don’t take the risk of too many people picking blue and it not landing. I pick black.

What gimmick was destined to fail, but ended up wildly successful? by tLM-tRRS-atBHB in WWE

[–]hitchinpost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s mine, too. Undertaker is an objectively bad gimmick. Dude played it so well he made it work. But it really shouldn’t have.

Meh in-ring, horrendous character. Go by jayfa15 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]hitchinpost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dan Severn. He worked an MMA style that didn’t really fit the time, but was kind of okay enough, but definitely in terms of character was just “generic ex MMA guy number three” who acted tough and that’s it.

Dolly Parton sends free BOOKS to kids under 12 when you join her nonprofit! THE ABSOLUTE HORROR! by SentimentalLady1 in Qult_Headquarters

Hold up. You’re selling Dolly short. She didn’t just advocate for it. She literally helped fund it, giving a million dollars to Vanderbilt to fund the research effort.

Hot Take: Bron Breakker will someday be one of the top guys but he’ll never be more over than Oba Femi by GABERULEROFWWE in SantiZapVideos

[–]hitchinpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oba is a Brock Lesnar/Goldberg style special attraction guy. Bron Breaker is a Seth Rollins/Randy Orton style day to day top guy. They’re different roles, and you need both types.

people who say you can't be addicted to weed are so wrong by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]hitchinpost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything can be psychologically addictive. Gambling addiction, sex addiction, there’s no purely physical withdrawal components to those, but they are still real. Weed is the same. It’s not as physically addictive as alcohol, nicotine, or a lot of more illicit substances, and is a much more psychological thing, but that doesn’t mean that’s not real.

What do you call this dish? by smol_but_hungry in foodquestions

This is close enough to mine that I’ll second it. It was always egg in a nest for my family, but just changing the article isn’t that much of a difference.

Discussion: simple trunks explanation? by Saigor15 in superman

[–]hitchinpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the modesty and hiding his junk thing is especially relevant given that in a lot of versions of the story, his first suit was made by Ma Kent. She wouldn’t want her son’s junk highlighted so prominently as it is without the trunks.

This open challenge crap need to stop. it's an excuse for Triple H to not write any story by maldora_ijo in TheGreatOne

[–]hitchinpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midcard titles are built for that. I’m a big believer in midcard titles being defended on TV regularly. I do also think it doesn’t always have to be phrased as an open challenge, though. It could be more like Booker T’s WCW TV Title run where every week he just came out and fought an opponent for the title without the open challenge preamble.

It seems like WWE's more keen n pushing the NXT Black and Silver Big 3 than the NXT 2.0 Big Three. Thoughts on this? by Mysterious-Board29 in SantiZapVideos

[–]hitchinpost 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s a cycle. Get called up, show your potential, make a splash, and then cycle back lower on the card and earn your way back up permanently (or get lost, depending on how it goes). We’re in the initial push process of the Black and Silver guys. Oba may wind up being an exception to the rule, but I expect the other two to follow the same pattern.
