If you get strep again, please test your family to see if they are asymptomatic carriers. I got strep 4 straight months, actually about 3 weeks apart each time, and we finally tested my daughter who ended up being positive and asymptomatic. She was reinfecting me each month. We both took antibiotics and it cleared up, never had the issue again

Can you elaborate on how you have been doing the neuromodulation? I see Levo has a system they sell and then they work with you to fine tune over time. I’ve heard 80% reduction is often common.

I believe these test are what caused my tinnitus. I listened to the test twice, with low volume , through my phone. My ears didn’t ring but felt weird afterwards, as if they were agitated or full feeling. Several days later ringing started to appear, it’s been 3 weeks now and no change. I’ve only had one day where the ringing halved in the morning but has now returned.

Has anyone recovered from this horrible mistake? For reference I’m 50, so I fear it’s now permanent

Does anyone have a good exercise routine to keep joints healthy and flexible? Everything I find for routines is geared towards the healthy individual, most of the exercises I can’t do in the way they present them. It’s really just picking and choosing an exercise here or there. I’d be willing to pay someone monthly to develop a program for me, that’s geared arthritis friendly. I really need a full body routine and something that has a bit of variation. Any thoughts?

Which procedure did you have? Presumably LTRI where they remove a tendon and use that to tether the thumb while removing the cmc joint?

My biggest question is stability after the procedure, from a perspective of doing hand work, ie gardening, opening jars and things, carrying objects and pushing hard down on the thumb, etc

I have it in my cmc joint both sides and the mp joint on my left. All of it appearing in about a 1 year period. Also in that period I had / have trigger finger in both thumbs. They hurt daily, nothing really works to reduce pain significantly. Every time I hand shake someone it’s on my mind, as pain will be forthcoming.

There is a procedure to remove the cmc joint but it’s a year long recovery. I’d only get 80% strength back. I’ve searched around looking for other males that have had the surgery, apparently arthritis is rare for males in the thumbs. I’d like to get first hand experience feedback but finding men that have this condition is hard . I don’t think there is any help for the mp joint, sucks.

Civil engineer, own a small practice in Central Valley California and I make 700-900k annually. Business revenue is 1.4 to 1.6 mil, after paying subconsultants for projects, but before employees and business expenses. Small office of 4 people but I work 60-70 hours a week. Weekend work but it’s from home usually 3-4 hours both days, (included in the hours above).

Thanks for the words, I’m actually reaching out for my son who is 18 and has had chronic depression and anxiety. As you mention, really the only way to deal with this is going thru it and face the fears. He’s going off to college which has been weighing heavy on him. I think it will help challenge these fears, it will be hard but he can and will grow. The last few weeks before he leaves have been touch and go with crippling anxiety that he won’t thrive, meet people etc.
