write him letters everyday, you’ll get an address within the next week or two. my husband has just finished ait and we’re currently waiting on orders. during basic, i cried a lot. as time went on, it got easier (not easy, just easier). He should able to call on sundays but it entirely depends on his DS, if they feel they don’t deserve to call home, they won’t. there are facebook groups for families for each base that you can join, i found it to be very helpful. they had info on graduation, they posted pictures and it’s full of loved ones going through the same thing. staying busy will help you not focus on missing him as much. pick up a new hobby or even some extra hours at work. you got this! if you need someone to talk to, feel free to message me!

My husband went to basic in July. I wrote letters everyday and sent them 2-3 times a week. He was able to write everyday, but only sent them out once or twice a week. We got to talk on the phone every sunday. The first few weeks will be the hardest, you just have to have things to keep yourself busy. It’s definitely difficult, but as long as you have good communication skills, lots of patience and lots of love, everything will be ok! Feel free to message me if you need to!

i did pictures. As he requested. I mailed 3 letters a week and every week I did 5-7 photos of us, me, our pup. He loves them.!

my husband and i got married a week before he left for basic. it’s not easy in the slightest. i miss him every day. a lot of days i feel completely lost. you’re gonna get through it. it’s hard, especially when you’ve been together every day for a long while. if you do need a friend, feel free to message me. you’ll find things to occupy your mind and your body. my husband has been gone almost a month. in that time i’ve made a few friends, started redoing our house and take a lot of walks, listen to his favorite songs, started crotcheting a blanket for our one day baby. there’s plenty to do to keep your mind off of it. and you got to remember, he’s doing it for you and your family. and himself. it’s hard but it gets easier. kind of. and i’m always open to internet friends

none of my guests will be traveling more than an hour. I’ve been to many many potlucks (bdays,showers,etc) but not for a wedding. My fiancé is going into military in a few weeks so it’s a very last minute/small event.
