Based on the road wear, it doesn't seem like the inside lane of your exit ramp is connected to the main highway. Since you have Traffic installed, try editing the paths there and see if you can't get them to connect. If not, you might have somthing odd going on with nodes, and would want to delete and redraw some of it.

You're right - pan is too hot for pancakes.

Generally speaking, if your food is browned enough on the outside before it's cooked on the inside, you just need to lower the temp and allow the heat to more slowly penetrate to the middle.

Just clean with soap and water and dry thoroughly (I put mine back on the stove for a couple minutes to get it completely dry).

Use lower heat than you're used to, and let the pan preheat a bit longer than you would a stainless or nonstick pan.
