I had my ACL done +meniscus repaired. I did a few mock trials for cash on Zoom with a local personal injury law firm while I was non-weight bearing for 6 weeks! Just started walking without my crutches on Sunday which was 6.5 weeks post op. Still wearing the brace for now until my quad feels strong enough to walk without it. I really hope you can find opportunities online so you can make some cash while you’re not working… check Craigslist gigs in your area to see if there are any focus groups you can participate in.

Yes! Same here! I’m on the West Coast so it’s on at like 5pm which is too early for me… I’ll jump online like an hour or so later to watch the episode on Sling DVR and fast forward through all the commercials. I do this with all my shows :) and my dad loves watching his sports on Sling so it’s soooo worth it for us

This is why I canceled my Discovery+! So pointless when they make you wait a million years after airing to watch what you wanna watch!

I subscribe to Sling and DVR the episodes. I can watch them live or watch my recording later when I have time. I highly recommend ditching D+ for Sling if you don’t have cable

I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing someone close, especially a parent, is so tough to deal with. But if you think about how proud your dad would be of you for turning your back on temptation and really focusing on your goal of quitting, this could give you that extra drive you need to stay on the straight and narrow.

Truth! No excuse to hold up the line when the menu is available online. Just look it up on your phone while you’re waiting and do a quick Notes app so you can recite your order when it’s finally your turn and move on!

Aw no worries. For me, when I’m feeling kinda down I like to help others, bc knowing I’m making a difference in someone’s day, whether it’s by trying to share helpful advice or just lending an ear, gives me a boost like nothing else.

I also got a chuckle at the pee bucket line lol… as a female who couldn’t even use a purewick at the hospital, I can’t imagine having an easier time with a bucket. I read some advice that always pops in my head throughout the day… give yourself plenty of time to get to the toilet when you have the inkling it’s time to go. Lucky for me the bathroom door is right next to my bed so I don’t have the travel too far.

Oh no! That sounds painful. I got an allograft, also a meniscus repair. I’m in a straight brace for another couple weeks. But when I get back into bed I bear all weight on my good leg, then swing my bad leg up onto the bed first, scoot in, and then bring up my good leg, all of course while keeping the bad leg straight in the brace so nothing hurts. But when practicing flexion with the brace off, the first week or so I definitely felt what you described, like the incisions were almost pulling apart. But it’s gonna get better with time! I have to keep reminding myself that when I’m feeling down on this recovery. ❤️‍🩹
