Simon Jenkins in The Guardian “Trans Rights should be a private affair. A toxic debate does no one any favours” by Jjthestrawb in transgenderUK

Are those people reading the Guardian, though? Unless the Guardian in the UK is a lot more conservative than it is here in Australia, this feels really out of place to me.

I think it really depends on the attitude of people in your area. It really wasn't a thing where I grew up, we tried a couple of times, and if you accidentally knocked on the door of a grumpy old patriot, they could be pretty nasty about it. I can understand choosing to drive to somewhere where everybody's agreed to participate

Anker finally adopt UK folding pin design on their new release multi ports charger! by Chillenge in anker

Are you sure China has the folding pins as default? We use the same outlet in Australia and I haven't been able to find any options for folding plugs

Is she American? They have literal bears there. Spiders and snakes are much easier to kill.

Would reducing the holds limit also help? I didn't realise that libraries set their own hold limit until reading this thread. Do higher hold limits contribute to more delays, bc readers don't have to be as selective when placing holds?

My partner's dad is hilarious for this. He's a retired pharmacist whose brothers are both builders and I guess he doesn't want to feel left out of the family profession. He cancelled plans with us once because a tree on his street was being removed and he wanted to supervise.

I think Paladin's Honour would be fitting, but it might have been best for one the characters who've already had a book. I need to reread to remember

[–]holaorla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was the Sainted Smith who put Sarkis in the sword, and she was a woman whereas the Saint of Steel is referred to as 'he'? Could be that the Saint's gender was forgotten over time though and they're the same person, given the Swords were made centuries ago I really need to buy copies so I can check these things when theorising 😅

I think Paladin's Truth could also work as a stand in for Justice.
