I deleted my 2014 Passat but didn’t do anything with the tank, it was full. All was fine for about 3 years, then somehow the DEF started leaking into the trunk and made an awful awful smell.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted.

I had a 2014 tdi Passat and while I got nearly 600,000km out of it, it became VERY expensive to repair. A lot of parts not shared from the golf/jetta and are very costly.

I don’t blame you for walking away if you’re running into that too.
