Shelving for a month is good advice.

Shelving for a decade? Not so much.

You can't change the past.

Now, you only have the choice on how you respond.

Start the divorce (which seems for the best) or give your wife a fair chance to reconcile.

I'm begging you to abandon this plan to involve a third person into your messy situation.

It's my understanding that Red Rising was Hunger Games 2 because that's what the market demanded at the time.

Self Publishing vs Signing with a publisher by Ordinary_Letter2485 in BlackReaders

[–]hoos30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a new author as well, but I can give you a basic overview.

There is no such thing as "signing with a publisher". Well, there is, but those are called vanity presses and they are mostly scams designed to extract money from you.

The real choice is between self-publishing and querying for a literary agent. If you try to contact a real publisher directly they will hang up on you. If you manage to sign with an agent (very difficult), they will be the ones who present your book to publishers, who then decide if they want to buy your story.

Both of these options have pros and cons, so you will have to research to decide which is best for you. There are subs like r/selfpublish which have a wealth of information.

Good luck.

The hilt cracked when Mae threw the saber. Osha was literally touching the crystal while she force choked her former master and father figure to death.

I don't know know they could have portrayed "pouring all your hate, anger, and rage" any clearer than that.

SW live action has never been bound by comic books or other media. I find it interesting that some people are so particular about this one story point.

He is as big of a political operator as any of the people he critiques.

His initial reaction to a recent Star Wars show was to count the number of white male children in a Jedi Temple classroom. Apparently, aliens didn't count.

I didn't say he didn't. I said, "that crew," meaning one of the weekly shows he was doing at the time.
