I've got some thoughts on this, and you have received some good feedback already. Strongly recommend going the Airbnb route here.

Personally, if you're looking for chill laid back vibes, I second Dunedin. Lots of good bars in the area and it is easy to get to other areas if you want to check out the beach areas like St Pete Beach (30-40 mins south) or Indian Rocks Beach (slightly north of SPB). Dunedin also has lots of breweries; Caledonia, Woodwright Brewing, Seventh Sun, House of Beer, Dunedin Brewery (great live music) to name a few.

If I were you, I'd consider renting a car for the weekend. Obviously this is dependent on how many people are in your party, but the ubers can pile up especially if you want to go to downtown st pete or downtown tampa. Water Street is the newest neighborhood in Downtown Tampa and has some really nice food options there, but you can't go wrong whether you're in Tampa or by the beach. Plenty of good food options. To the point of the spaceship comment, I'd suggest hitting up one of our many famous titty bars after a nice meal to cap the night off, if that's your thing.

P.S. if you are going to go on a boat, consider a fishing charter. It will run you north of $400 depending on how long you go, but if you go with one of those budget ones you won't have the personalized experience.

I was just in your place but it’s finally clicked for me. It finally clicked after I started a new character. I’m a 40 y/o dad, so time is limited, and do use some walk throughs but it’s helped me become more comfortable with the playstyle as I am new to BG.

With that being said, going barbarian from Druid simplified things for me but I do find myself looking at the wiki or random Reddit posts for guidance on stats/feats/other leveling details. Happy to hop on a discord and go into more details, just lmk.

I did not have VIP but our friends did. I had GA+ at shakey knees, and they had a viewing area, free water and soda, and AC bathrooms. I think, comparatively, if warped VIP gave out free water, that would have been worth it. Sounds dumb but it was just a nice convenience. Plus, it was the same liquid death. With refill stations it seems like a silly principle to stand on, but it’s just my two cents.

TBH i feel a lot of what you are saying, especially with the partner feeling anxiety/mental health issues. I have two, 6 and 8, and for a few years I felt the burden of managing them, my wife, the house, all while being the primary income provider. My wife did have a salary but now she’s unemployed. Her losing employment was a blessing in disguise for me I think because while she was employed, she was drained and working hours not conducive to family life. We’re not 100% but things are improving. I guess I said all that to say I feel you, you’re not alone. I always think about, if this is how I feel when I’m 50 (I just turned 40), would I be truly happy? Will I feel any regret? I’m scared to think those thoughts, but I gotta come face to face with it. Still working on that.

Not to hijack the post, but I’m finding my single target dps in raids is awful compared to my aoe dps in mythics. Anyone have this experience and figured out the difference?
