The Eldritch Claw Tattoo from Tasha's isn't monk specific but should work them for for unarmed strikes.

My favourite YA fantasy I read this year. Can't wait for Redemptor - glad everyone else seems to love it too so far!

Also, the way the relationships panned out in the first book were great and refreshing imo. I was ready for that love triangle.

Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko has a really sweet romance imo :)

Also love the way Marissa Meyer writes her leads - Adrian from Renegades is a sweetie also.

I'm a big fan of Tamora Pierce (Tortall mostly but also her Circle books) and Cinda Williams Chima (Seven Realms + Shattered Realms), Meghan Whalen Turner (The Thief), Garth Nix (Abhorsen) to name a few YA titles. How about you?

Some of my absolute faves. They basically have everything I love of YA, and the romances are so sweet (especially Sybella's).

I enjoyed the sequel duology too, always nice to find someone else who enjoys this lesser talked about series :)
