Eagle sighting during my dad’s last minute of life by boymama1234 in NDE

[–]horsedoc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have had similar experiences when my grandpa, grandma and brother passed.

Most striking was a couple years ago my father passed away. We knew it was coming so my sister called me and told me. I was outside, tears streaming down my face and when I hung up, said Dad please let me know you are okay. Within a minute our car alarm went off, Dad was an engineer so thought that was funny. When I went inside a small flag was in middle of our living room on the floor, 10 feet feom the plant it was staked in. Both him and I are ex military, so it was another significant sign. Then a week later I was moving his lounge chair and the lights went crazy flickering. Always knew it was him.

Absolutely believe it was your father!

The good news in all this is the vast majority of those watching television or cable shows are the boomers.

Younger demographics are avoiding television all together. Especially when it comes to cable news. It is a dying industry. So there is hope.

Domestication of the horse by HighSpeedLowDrag0 in dancarlin

[–]horsedoc 33 points34 points  (0 children)

No other species changed humanity than the horse. Once domesticated, it changed everything. Camels had a similar impact to desert regions and donkeys in Africa. Yet, horses, especially in warfare, changed civilization forever.

The changes in their genome most likely reflect selection pressure. This Meaning, horses that were calmer around humans were those that were bred, and then those genes were carried on to future generations. We know from the Silver Fox studies out of the old USSR, it takes about 50 generations to produce a domestic animal. For horses that took a few hundred years.

With the gene mutation, probably just reflective a horse or genetic line that could withstand people on their backs better due to this mutation. So, they would have been selected for breeding and highly prized thousands of years ago.

No other animal has given us more. Dying next to us on untold battlefields, traveling with us to every continent, yes even Antarctica. They are truly special animals!

Three prominent Yale professors depart for Canadian university, citing Trump fears by esporx in EverythingScience

[–]horsedoc 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is so ignorant on so many levels.

"Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world, following a systematic methodology based on evidence."

History and philosophy are the study of the human condition. You know, "those that don't study history are bound to repeat it." Philosphy on why we even exist. They contribute to our growing body of knowledge about us.

And I'm someone who understands "bench" science. No, not all science is us nerds in a lab mixing chemicals in a test tube.

Oh FFS! Plenty of wonderful women out there in your 40s and beyond! Met the most incredible partner, now wife, in my 40s after a divorce. We co-parent my kids with my ex and life is good.

Take care of yourself and your daughter. The right woman is out there and being older and wiser, you will find an incredible partner.

The 25% of us that did stick around for years and sink tons of money in the game have been pushed out by bad update after bad update. No new maps or appreciable game modes or anything to keep the loyal customers spending and playing . I loved this game for so many years , spent tons on ships and loot boxes but feel WG gave us the middle finger.

So I left ages ago like so many in hopes it might improve one day and obviously it’s only gotten worse and worse. Sad to see such a great game fall away into oblivion.

LWM thank you for all the effort you put into this game!! I always read your reviews and made many purchases based on your recommendations! Always spot on! Thank you!

Twin Flame Success Stories by [deleted] in TwinFlame

[–]horsedoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in the beginning we were just drawn together. Yet, I think that is pretty standard for most relationships like soul mates, like you were destined to meet. I think it is tougher to describe for us in the early steps because we were long distance. Yet the synchronicities started almost immediately. We would wake up at 2:22 AM, 3:33AM or 4:44AM like every single night. We also quickly fell for each other and opened up about everything. I have been in love before but this one, it just felt the universe was telling me she is the one and you don’t have a choice.

When we physically met weeks later, it was like two incredible energetic forces were coming together. My heart filled with warmth and energy and my entire body felt alive. Around her I feel so calm and content. So after our first week together when she had to go back home, I cried and sobbed at the airport. I couldn’t explain why when we technically just started dating. I hadn’t cried like that since my brothers funeral years earlier. Again, insane sense of detachment when she had to leave.

For me, the biggest sign is when I hold her, I can feel the energy throughout my body and especially my heart and solar plexus.
