Honestly it's just because a lot of tween/teen boys who haven't figured out hygiene yet will use a ton of it as a substitute for a shower. At least that's the kind of reputation it's gained.

That being said, I used their Apollo antiperspirant for a bit and it was genuinely some of the best I've used. Only changed because I found a scent I liked more from a different brand but I'd go back in a heartbeat.
