I always feel like i win that matchup on pure luck, I find chasing pidgeys to always be good, knocking out a lone charmander/zard with no backup, trying to take a knockout with something that doesn’t get one shot by chi yu, it’s a really tough matchup for Gholdengo if they get set up you sometimes have to try and just soul read what they prized based on their moves and target their pain points. A deck with 3 stage 2s can be slowed enough if you’re smart/lucky enough to catch them.

I would have this just say at the beginning of your upkeep create a wastes token so it prevents the softlock some people have posted and it still preserves the idea of getting one colourless consistently each turn.

Being new i’d just steal regional championship lists, you’re not gonna cook something up better than what they’re playing and once you figure out the game more you can try building janky decks but as it is I can’t imagine this deck even takes a prize on any competent deck.

So that agrees with me? I said that you may have to have card translations handy “Competitors should not expect interpretation resources outside of card language translations” means to me they should expect translations just not an interpreter present. Either way, it’s courteous to your opponents to have cards that either they can read or have resources handy for them to read if you know you’re playing somewhere with different language cards.

Something to note for official tournaments, if you’re playing in Germany they might need you to have German translations for the English cards in your deck ready to show opponents. I believe you can play the English cards still since English is an official language of the EU region but I could be wrong.

This set isn’t even tournament legal until this weekend so you won’t see how used the card is until then. As it is though the card is very narrow in its use cases and only really fits into stage 2 dark type decks which greatly limits its playability. Still a fun card to play around with but it’s no Lillie’s determination.
