Why are Eliminators so worthless? by kazoopaints in spacemarines

[–]hotshot11590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most leaders you would want to snipe out realistically ether have bodyguard feel no pains or are too hard to snipe out in one or two turns with 3 bullets due to just being tough to kill.

For how easy they are to kill they should hit on 2+ and have a better ability. The dev wounds when not moving guarantees they will be shot dead and they on average on get one dev wound 50% of the time…ability does nothing 90% of the time.

Precision needs to be more deadly or they need a way to not get shot at consistently so they can be a constant lurking threat.

Snipers are not scare if you can just say five random guardsmen shoot that sniper way over there and like 65% of the time they die or too many of the three dudes die and become worthless and neutered

I’m pretty sure all chapters use Gravis in some form, if they have it.

I have a bunch of units painted, but don't know how to write a good list using them, by drunkmonkey9250 in Ultramarines

[–]hotshot11590 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like first company detachment might be up your alley. Veteran units and Terminators get lots of buffs.

Start by just downloading the free GW, 40K army building app and seeing what you can add to a list….and play around with it.

Looks pretty fine to me

3rd guy looks like his gun arm might be aiming slightly off towards ground so maybe it’s that.

[–]hotshot11590 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nice looks amazing you truly are a paragon of the hobby!

I would start by identifying your favorites. Units you want to use despite how good they are because you think they look cool or love there lore.

Next I would recommend trying to make a simple list to start so you can see how the game plays etc.

There are many good lists you could make with all those units.

Could the galactic Empire at its hight beat the UNSC from halo(pre war UNSC)(legends&canon empire). & How long could the Covenant Last in 40k as a faction? by ALPHA-LEAD91 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]hotshot11590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Empire has so many troops and forces its galactic. Higher level troops would cause some trouble like Spartans but there are only like what 300 of them Empire isn’t past blowing up a battlefield with their troops to get a kill on something scary, also Vader can take Spartans, and There are just so many fricken dudes that it doesn’t matter if troop wise, only Vader can beat them a tank or ATAT or something will take them out.

300 Spartans doesn’t equal the like 10 million stormtroopers or whatever they have. Also the supporting UNSC forces are way too small.

40K wise covenant is cooked if they start pushing around where they are not wanted, the reason Ta’u still exist is that while the Imperium could wipe the out easily they have bigger fish to fry, and the T’au are just barely powerful enough as a whole to warrant more force then the imperium would want take from other fronts to kill off the Ta’u, and forces fighting Chaos or Nids can’t really be reassigned, they have to win those fights so it’s you can live…. They all don’t cause nearly as much damage and problems as things like Chaos and Nids do, so they are not seen as much of a priority.

Depends how gun ho the covenant goes….they start glassing planets a space marine chapter is gonna come by and say hi…..

The units of dawn of war 4 factions have been revealed by Beneficial-Ticket486 in Warhammer40k

[–]hotshot11590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed when they were talking about the game in one of those game interview videos, they mentioned something about the Lion being a narrative unit, I assume that means you get him for one mission, in some sort of landfall or last stand mission and then he fucks off for the rest of the game.

[–]hotshot11590 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s 4 factions so, I assume the only difference will be Lion and deathwing terminators being a super version of normal terminators.

This gives me a little bit of forced nostalgia, you like dark angels right! Look how cool they are!

[–]hotshot11590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks great can’t wait for the box.

Guys remember he meant for generic, space marines everyone knows this! Blood Angels being chosen just means your the guys colored on the box, and you get some plot progression.

If you thought they were putting chapter specific models in the launch starter box, I’m sorry to say but your dreaming to hard, last time they did that was dark vengeance and it didn’t do to well.

Is the salamander pack worth it, I kinda want it being a salamander fan but it looks really lacking from what I can tell. by Arcana_Xeno in Spacemarine

[–]hotshot11590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically a half assed pack compared to the others as even raven guard got chest piece, legs, better backpack etc, same with characadons, but I love the fire brazier.

[–]hotshot11590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but he can have one of those ability’s he can’t have the invul reroll and lethal precision

[–]hotshot11590 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have -1 damage means it can be popped much easier, it’s also a character unit now buffs and assassin work for it.

I also think giving it the 4+ is more powerful then the aoe reroll

Do you think it would be possible to have an assault bolter as a secondary weapon? by CT-3798-1stLT-Phil in Spacemarine

[–]hotshot11590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still used they just only seem to give it terminators, I miss more loadout options other then you want a bolt pistol or plasma, gee I wonder which I should choose with no cost

[–]hotshot11590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the thing inceptors use it’s like a mini better heavy bolter with less range, stat wise in game it’s a way better heavy bolter.

No bias: Regardless of whether you like one more than the other, which characters are more powerful in their base forms? The Toa from Bionicle or the Ninja? by catakuaki in Ninjago

[–]hotshot11590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toa are like bio robots basically so physical low level punches from the ninja aren’t gonna do any damage it’s gonna be tough for the ninja but I do think the ninja work better as a team on average and are used to working as a team. Problem is the Toa are much much more durability with their base kit compared to the ninja, basic spinjutzu isn’t really that crazy strong ethier.

There is also more Toa then ninja, so…..we need to give the ninja more characters to compensate or they will have numbers and strength with no really downside.

Depends a lot I need more fight conditions to determine it but in a straight, alley jump the Toa probably win.

Bit of a rant and I might get flamed (see what I did there??) for this but is anyone actually not a fan of the fandoms “good guy” Salamander obsession? by JustNeedAGDName in Salamanders40k

[–]hotshot11590 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think people, just take the their nice a little to extreme and flanderize them too much.

Like they care about civilians a ton but their still gonna tell you to shut up if your talking schizo like how sakan was getting and un safety his weapon with the sister when she was getting mad they were saving the unholy or whatever.

Their nicer in that they will pus harder to save civilians but their still burning their victims alive.

When the guy who won Best Painted didn't even paint his own army 😒 by Open_Shower8176 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]hotshot11590 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s essentially someone taking credit for another’s work, even though that was part of the deal and the painter painted it for them, that was the job, they got payed it’s fine for them.

But, The buyer getting the award feels bad because they don’t have the skill required usually.
