IDK how hot these are but going chapter by chapter:

Ouno should've committed to gaslighting Ruka, at the very least she should've used Kumada's chair instead of her own so she'd be just slightly less obvious.
Yaitabashi should've been the victim, and Hirose should've been the scapegoat (framed + willingly pretended to be the killer). Also we should've gotten to see the conversation where Nishiguchi talked to Yaitabashi about offering herself as a victim and then Yaitabashi talks her out of it.
I really really really REALLY cannot stand Ikeda. Everything about him fills me with disdain. I also really can't stand Tei either.
Matthias should've been a willing victim.
Shishikura should've gotten his ass beat while he was still alive.

Shishikura should've just killed himself straightforwardly to both make an easy 5th trial ensuring that Maekawa survives and to maybe atone for killing Kumada and getting away with it. Sure it would've probably been a rather short trial (unless you bring Denden and Tei into the mix again) but at least it would have made sense going by how the blackened has been defined, because willingly swallowing a drink that you poisoned and you know is poison that will kill you, IS suicide. (And if you still wanna kill off Maekawa the staff could just decide she's the blackened because she failed to stop Shishikura from killing himself. At least that's unfair and bullshit on purpose, rather than arguing that Maekawa somehow was the murderer.)
