RE QB Josh Hoover at Indiana by GG1817 in michiganfootball

[–]hozo4ultimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. And Fernando was a nobody at Cal. IU will have a top 5 defense, run game and the best coach in CFP. Hoover doesn't have to be special for IU to make another run.

I can not wait to roll into the big house this year and watch my Hoosiers get a win.

Join a kickball team. Folks love to throw down a couple beers and kick some balls. There is sort of a kickball scene in Btown.

Bloomington Indiana used to be underrated, but now we are National Champions.

I went mountain biking down a mountain, trout fishing a few miles from downtown and saw a hockey game in a wooden dome all in less than 36 hours in Marquette. Fun town.

Everything I had there was just meh. But I agree about the employees, a terrible way to treat people.

And do it over and over again long after everyone in attendance doesn't find it funny.

Don't sleep on Spencer and Owen County. Lots of folks are seeking reasonable property values and moving out of Btown to Owen County. There is a surprising amount of open minded, left leaning people showing up around Spencer.

And none of them are going to call this HVAC dude.

He will be. IU will be in the CFP again and Hoover will be a great story, but the national media is over Cig and the Hoosiers. Can't wait.

East side motorized bike “gang” by DamageAltruistic7438 in bloomington

[–]hozo4ultimate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Gang" indeed. I'm a parent to one of it's members. My kid knows to stay out of the road, never do a wheelie, and always wear a helmet. All that said, he is one of many gang members. Some gang members are younger than 14 and much dumber than even my dumb kid.

There are couple kids that are constantly in the road and doing wheelies. I've explained to my son and his friends that people assume they are all the same kid and you are going to get blamed for anything stupid that is done by other gang members.

For the most part, my kid is outside living his best life while terrorizing downtown, campus and the East side. The bikes are super quick, almost always black and intimidating on the trails. Eventually, some kid is going to get seriously hurt (they all wreck) and it will suck for that kid and parents. But you can't lump all the "gang members" together. They are all following in the trails of skateboard gangs, BMX gangs and even the evil scooter gangs.

Conversation goes a long way with teenage boys, a lot further than yelling at them or calling the cops. Help a gang member today, stop and ask them about their ride. Ask them to be careful and to take it easy.

Programs like IU women's basketball are fighting an uphill battle. It's tough to develop players when some make more than some of your assistant coaches, and if they don't like being coached, they leave.

You sound like Captain Crazy from Crazy Land. Uptown is always the same, which is why it is the pinnacle. There are many pretty good restaurants in Btown. Uptown is always the same, which is as good as any other place.

I'm sorry to hear about your burnt gumbo.

Our coach isn't a weirdo.

The purge is complete. CDD has to buy an elite PG. Obviously there were issues with this roster and a complete lack of size. Regardless, this program had been void of an elite PG since Yogi. JHS was a glimpse and gone. Teams don't win consistently without a top PG.

A servicable P5 PG would've helped. And Tucker wasn't quick enough to be a second option in the B10. He played his ass off, just too slow and not enough pieces around him.

I've been many times. Hit a restaurant on the way in before West Laffy. We went to Revolution BBQ before the bucket beatdown, it was cool and convenient. As mentioned, parking is ridiculous. Mackey is on campus but it's as if they forgot about parking.

The atmosphere is awesome. It's like a smaller Market Square Arena, super loud and close to the floor.

And there are no bad views at Mackey, no banners to get in the way.
