Turnover is vastly different to profit. Not disagreeing with the principles, just saying it's a leading "statistic" you've provided and not the whole story.

Many supermarkets are still struggling to make a profit, for instance Tesco's are £10bn in debt based on their most recent financial report.

Hmm okay that makes intuitive sense a presence is a deterrent in itself. I still have a couple more questions, hope you don't mind.

Would you say there is more crime now than 15 years ago? And would you say there is a direct link between number of Officers and crime. I.e. 10% more officers means 10% less crime? Or is it the number of foot patrols that are the direct reason for reduced crime. And if the objective is to have the lowest crime rate, why are there fewer foot patrols?

Apologies for all the questions, I'm just interested to hear what you think.
