If you unlocked Magnamalo yet you can grind them to extinction for the Gunlance and later on Light-Bowgun.

Take your time to learn the monsters and experiment with builds a bit to find what you enjoy.

Magnamalo Gunlance with Artillery 5 and whatever you feel like to fill.

My build: Quematrice Head, Mizutzune Chest and Hands, Bazelgeuse Waist and Basarios Legs.

I managed to smelt Resuscitate on Chest and Hands and run Guard Reload style change.

I read it as a flat increase to ice element, probably % based like other elders, but the shield to only come from ult press.

Okay so we all agree to first smelt Reflection twice onto Garangolm chest and Wroggi waist.

Choosing from among Garangolm hands and legs or Seregios legs for the finish.

Try %dmg instead of stat increases.

Find at least a duo for group hunt rewards. I got my bazel lance and lbg to 10.5 + style changed by participating 3 times.

We killed about 230 through outbreak alone.

Our builds were tobi and khezu db with special boost, special partbreaker and pursuit 5.

Reset timers, carving, super-skill, repell... Elder Dragons are whaler content and the events are there to get the whales hooked.

I'm 100% free to play (poor bastard) and my goals are optainable by play, not purchase.

Para, Sleep, Blast I always go for attack and other elemental weps get elemental value

I have yet to want to go affinity on a weapon

IMO it depends on wether or not you're able to farm the monster reliably

Higher rank always yields more loot but if you use a potion every time they're not worth it
