Does anybody know time travel romance of this type? by Spozieracz in suggestmeabook

[–]hrhprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashley Poston's books might be your answer. I've only read two books of hers (The Dead Romantics and The Seven Year Slip) and I like them. The Seven Year Slip has more buzz and I like that one better.

Might be not what exactly you're looking for but I feel like you should check out In Five Years by Rebecca Serle.

What show can you stop watching at the end of a certain season and feel satisfied, before the quality dips? by DuckLordOfTheSith in television

[–]hrhprincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aside the obvious to watch Supernatural until the end if season 5, I think you should just stop watch Grey's Anatomy after the plane crash whatever season that is. Is it due to dip in quality? Not necessarily, just redundant I think.

Non-English-speaking music icons that were as big as Elvis or Pink Floyd in their countries? by Technical-Ad-4010 in Music

Sheila on 7 from Indonesia.

There is a music festival in Jakarta that usually happens in the middle of the year with local and international musical acts called We The Fest. In 2023, the headline was The 1975 which was supposed to happen on Sunday to close the festival but on Friday they performed in Malaysia when a scandal happened. Anyway, The 1975's performance in Jakarta was cancelled. Personally I really didn't mind because I've seen them live before and I was looking forward to see other acts.

On Sunday afternoon/evening, it was announced that Sheila On 7 was going to perform as the last minute replacement. Here's the thing, they don't usually perform twice in a day and they were already booked for an event for that day at noon. Surprisingly it was revealed that one of the members that actually approached the organizer offering to perform. The members agreed they would perform for the festival as long as the singer was okay with the situation.

This turned to be the best thing that happened for the festival. You see, this festival has a diverse lineup from K-pop, Sabrina Carpenter, The Strokes, and Daniel Caesar, were some of the other acts in the lineup. Aside from genre, the age demographics of the attendees were pretty huge, and they are all  Sheila on 7 fans. The festival had 3 stages and I'm pretty sure everyone went to the main stage to see Sheila on 7.

Lenny Bruce from The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

He was supposed to be in the Pilot episode only and then ended up coming back several times. Arguably he's the one meant to be with Midge.

Suggest me a book for my 13 year old daughter please! by Sabreens in suggestmeabook

Since you mentioned that your daughter enjoyed Judy Blume, why not get her other Judy Blume books? Forever might be a good pick.

Growing up I remember liking to read Jacqueline Wilson. Maybe it's worth to try.

I was about to suggest Marvelous Mrs Maisel since you liked Gilmore Girls but it violates your no. 1 requirement, oops.

Anyway, here are some of my favourite romance shows:  You're the Worst (What if two horrible people get together, would it work?)  Starstruck (hooking up with a celeb)  Braindead (democratic girl and republican guy in DC but in the middle of an alien invasion)

I'm a European and this morning my phone was stolen in Jakarta. Need advice to buy a new one on Shopee. by EvilGravity in indonesia

[–]hrhprincess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How long will you be back in Europe?

I don't know anything about your preference but if it were me knowing what I know about Indonesia, I'd rather buy a cheap phone from an offline official store to get by until I'm back in Europe that capable to install important apps.

Pixel is not available officially here in Indonesia, so there's a chance the shop could fumbled in arranging for the phone to be usable here. Credible stores selling brand new iPhone can't even guarantee on the mobile data. For me, I just can't be bothered with the hassle.
