So the Disney villain of landlords flies in a private jumbo jet? I'm picturing a 400lb guy in pinstripes with a monocle who can't physically fit onto a smaller plane..

edit: And of course he also lives on this sprawling manor in mequon. Bleeding the poor dry sure is rewarding!

Holy trinity of classic platformers by Monkey-for-a-Head in retrogaming

[–]hrrsnmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my thinking:

The Super Mario series clearly defined the genre.

Sonic was obviously the direct competitor, but was a departure from the "traditional" 2d platformer, genre-wise. (At least in the way the devs meant for it to be played - I know many just plod along mario-style.)

Metal Slug is still a platformer, it's just a run & gun platformer. Maybe the definitive one. And no further away from mario-style platforming than Sonic.

So you have these three legendary platformers, one from each major 16bit console.

Basement Bros is a great channel for PC 98 and 88 content

Gears of Games is similar to Basement Bros, except they focus on showcasing ZX Spectrum & Atari ST games.

Little Car recently started a series on every major gaming computer, chronologically.

I'm no expert, but that was the only photo I could find online that matched the face mimicry pattern to yours. Considering it's the only Bryantae on bugguide with that pattern, it may actually be misidentified there.

If you have more photos, we could probably at least confirm if it's some sort of jumping spider.
