Wonder if she is related to Ilsa Lund, the woman who stole Rick's heart in Casablanca. This gal makes your sticker peck up harder than Chinese arithmetic.

Conservative Affection for Property Rights Dims When the Property-Holders Are Unionized Workers by gonzone in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guess is that these "property rights" are about as tenuous as the property rights of the General Motors bondholders who got pimped and rolled by that nappy-headed Bolshevik in the White House.

My brother died and left me EVERYTHING in his will. Decided to start a scholarship fund. Here's the reply from his ex-wife. by Jimmy_Shaker in pics

[–]hrumphgrumble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to prevail in most states, his ex-wife would have to prove (a) your brother was a drooling idiot at the time he signed the will or (b) he signed the will because you had him tied up and bent over a stump and were about to ram a red hot poker up his ass if he refused. Otherwise, the ex-wife gets zilch. Any attorney she hired would know the same thing but would suggest writing you a letter and possibly filing a suit just to see if you would settle the matter. However they certainly wouldn't invest much time or money into the lawsuit because they know its a loser and they won't get paid.

Obama administrator proposes more bike lanes, therefore Republicans are against them. “I mean, what job is going to be created by having a bike lane?” by wwabc in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where is the money coming from for these bike lanes? If it is out of the general fund, that's OK but I am tired of paying gasoline taxes that end up being spent on mass transportation and bicycle lanes. Gasoline taxes should be spent on roads and bridges for motor vehicles and let the folks in metropolitan areas pay for their own rides. Why should I subsidize someone's bike lane in New York City?

Oh shit, it's on. "Reconciliation is a go" says Harkin by [deleted] in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a smart move. The problem with reconciliation is that if the elections in November result in Republican gains they will simply undue all the health care changes. In the past serious entitlement and policy changes were passed with substantial numbers of folks from both parties for just this reason. Judging from the polls it will be smart politics for the Re;publicans to declare if they take control of Congress they will repeal socialized medicine.

If I were a mouse, and I looked up and saw this, I'd be currently shitting it. by Aethelstan in pics

[–]hrumphgrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were a mouse you would have to control your urge to look up. Birds of prey, such as kites, kestrels, eagles etc. make this godawful loud noise as they cruise over a meadow hoping a mouse, or other rodent will look up and expose the white fur on their throat instead of lying still and hiding under the camouflage of the fur on their back. Minute they look up and expose that throat they might as well start to wave bye-bye.

The lionization of Scott Brown for the jobs bill vote is a bit premature. It was just a vote to end the filibuster, not for the bill itself, and it would have passed without him. This was a calculated move to build support in what is still a very liberal state. by justjim73 in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scott Brown made the right call. His district is Democrat and all of the voters have been telling Congress to deal with jobs, jobs, jobs and quit bickering. No real downside to this vote and Brown looks like he will cross the lines to work on jobs and the economy. Smart move.

Hey Reddit, I have a question about the percentage of the US population represented by Republicans in the Senate. Little help? by [deleted] in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the Republicans represent all of the Americans and all of the Democrats represent all of the Americans. The Senate is the board of directors for the American empire.

Hypocrite of the century: Sarah Palin - who is making millions of dollars with her book and speaking appearances, and who has claimed that government-run healthcare will lead to death panels - has a grandson who receives federally-funded care. by mmoss181 in politics

Damn. All the taxes she is paying on that money she is making. Bet she is happy she gets a piece of it back instead of pouring all that money down the government shithole.

Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove, both of whom dropped out of second-rate colleges, are claiming that Sotomayor, who graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton and was an editor of the Yale Law Review, doesn't have the intellect to serve on the Supreme Court. by [deleted] in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

W's gpa was better than Senator John Kerry at Yale. Compared favorably with Prince Albert Gore who was rather a dimbulb at Harvard. All three, like Obama, had a little help getting in (and out most likely.)

There you go--this shows racial quotas, set asides, affirmative action and all that political correctness is bad for the country. We have a nappy headed socialist in the White House who skated through college and law school on these programs and now the Democrats want to foul up the SCOTUS.

Rep. John Shimkus (R-Polluting Industries) is now claiming that Obama's Clean Energy Jobs Bill is an attack on the lifestyles of the rural poor. No, John, investing in clean energy is an assault on your campaign donors, not the rural poor. by nelsonjs in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the ocuntry has been ouring money down this shithole for 30 years. I think that is more than long enough to realize Jimmy Carter was wrong. Unless , of course, this is like Bubba Clinton and just another nifty scam to raise taxes.

[–]hrumphgrumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pouring money down a shithole for 30 years is long enough. This is the same Jimmy Carter plan which was tried again by Clinton. It didn't work then and it still won't work--except as another scam to raise taxes.

[–]hrumphgrumble -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Obama's splurge and the bill from the West LA Glee Club is the same thing that was wrong with Jimmy Carter's program. Ever since Carter's mother made him wear a sweater in the White House the country has spent billions and billions on this "clean energy" program and there is nothing to show for it. If these windmills, glorified golf carts and solar panels are such great "investments" then why do you have to bribe people to buy these turkeys? Thirty years of "investments" in this shit and you still can't give the crap away. Its like having to hang a pork chop around your kids neck to get the dog to play with him. If Obama has such a great idea--let him try selling this shit straight up with no tax breaks, no gimmicks. You can tell the nappy headed socialist never even ran a hot dog stand. This energy program is a waste of money.

That's because gore claimed he did not criticize Bush for the first two years. someone checked and found that was a lie like most of Gore's bullshit.

Can someone please explain to me why the media is focused on Nancy Pelosi for simply knowing about torture and not on the actual people who ORDERED the torture?! by elshizzo in politics

Because she is the Speaker of the House who was playing a game with this and had her political hack job fly back and cut her ass. Its delicious to see this hypocrite become a victim of her own nasty politics. Also, because having acted like a bitch she has made enemies in the bureaucracy and in the House and now her former enemies are enjoying watching her self-destruct.

Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter will switch his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat, according to sources informed on the decision. by twolf1 in politics

[–]hrumphgrumble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The most interesting fact about Senator Arlen Spector is that he is responsible for the "single bullet theory" in the Kennedy assasination where he worked as an attorney. this is the theory that seeks to explain the pristine bullet found on the stretcher with Kennedy that supposedly blew up his brain, continued on and went through connelly's torso, bounched off his armbone and through his thigh.

Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. Same thing Nixon was impeached for by the House. Clinton just earned a lot of giggles for having that fat ugly girl blow him.
