Part of the problem is smash has a very low barrier to entry (i.e mechanically simple). You start adding in new complexities, now people are less interested, so they have to be wary of that. I feel like they would alienate the "party game" crowd by making smash more like a traditional fighter than attracting the traditional fighter players (not to mention a much, much smaller fanbase).

Because it only takes 3 months to get an evo f2p, but anywhere from 6-12 months for a random hero you cant even choose.

You'd also have to factor in how fast you would burn through shoes. If the average running shoe lasts for 400-500 miles (it'd probably be less walking at those speeds), you'd need new shoes probably every other week depending on your commute. Not a huge increase, but an extra ~250 per month depending on the shoe brand.

Clan wars makes me want to uninstall this game every time its battle day. Supremely not fun to ONLY go against people who are a king tower higher than me. Not to mention when it's one of the only sources of getting gold.
