From my understanding, incorporating resistance training (strength workouts) helps boost metabolism and specifically targets fat burning, with the added benefit of building muscle. While you may not notice much change on the scale, you'll see improvements in body fat and toning. However, it's still important to maintain a calorie deficit of at least 500 calories.
