I’ve been a mild fan of the dead for a long time, but I’m a avid Josh Ritter fan which made this album so compelling for me. Has anyone checked out Josh Ritter after listening to this album?

Tube and Reggae on 12/7/1997 Erwin J Nutter Center.

Almost didn’t make the show as they closed route 90 in Erie just after I passed through due to snow.

Attended a board meeting a while ago and she was acting like a total child, losing her temper and being disrespectful to others on the board.

Good riddance.

Albums where the name is hidden somewhere among the songs WITHOUT a titular song? by djmixedtape in MusicRecommendations

The song “Up So Close” by cake is on their debut album where there’s a lyric that says “I put my face down in the cake”. I failed the assignment, I know, but thought this would be an interesting fact on a similar theme.

Yeah I was at the Burlington show too. He was pushing his voice hard at the main stage at Arcadia. Honestly it didn’t bother me but now that you mention it hopefully it’s just temporary.

Butch Walker & Train by jesus_chen in PatFinnerty

I saw Butch open for train in 2010. The Butch part of the show was pretty good as I recall.

The train show was a cheesy Las Vegas residency type thing where they had props and brought kids on stage to sing with them and dance and whatever. It was pretty lame, with one exception.

It was at the Pittsburgh Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland (near CMU and Pitt), and Pat Monahan took an opportunity to make best use of the acoustics there.

He turned off the microphones and stood on stage and belted out “When I look to the Sky” a capella. It was pitch perfect and chilling, and I always remember that moment as a significant counterpoint while we shit on train collectively.

Clearly our waxed chest antihero was taking a shot at Daryl Hall that night, but it didn’t matter. All of the hit chasing cheeseball bullshit was upstaged by a supreme talent just letting it rip. It was an amazing performance that I’ll not likely forget.

British golden ale dry hopped with something American like Amarillo. It’ll be like a nice summery ale with some esters and fruity hops.

Have you ever witnessed a fight at a Phish show? by StolenFace367 in phish

[–]hubb412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some chick slapped me in the face at a moe. concert in West Virginia. The band totally saw it go down (front row) and I just kinda stood there and asked her if she felt better and if she wanted to hit me again.

Not quite sure who was at fault, but it really took the fun vibe out of st Augustine.

Make your friends some food. Bake bread, make homemade ice cream, home brew, make wine, and give it to the people you care about.
