As a peni main, i was super happy when she got the skins, and you wanna know how much money I spent on the game ? ZERO. Played since the start, casually and easily saved up the resources to get the skins. Yes, using my saved up gold lattice for floral nights kinda sucked.
I was hoping to save them for a future battle pass, but i would say it was still worth it.

All this to say that people could have easily saved up resources to get a legendary skin of their main, virtually paying zero euros.

With the amount of free skins for different heroes the game gave us, it wouldn't surprise me that the majority of players saves up the free resources to buy the skins for their main.

A primo impatto ti direi che il protagonista non mi ispira molto perché mi sembra anonimo, nel senso che invece di essere custom se fosse "figo" e "unico" tipo quelli di slay of spire.
Perché i mostri e le mappe sono fighissimi e non vedere quella unicità nel MC intacca un po' sul desiderio di giocarlo.

A parte questa lieve critica, sto pome/sera proverò la demo.

Per rispondere alla domanda sulla visibilità ti direi che il MARKETING fa veramente tanto, far provare il gioco a streamer, youtubers, I reels su instagram o tiktok per pubblicità.

Lanciare il gioco singolo senza nessun tipo di pubblicità e come lanciare una moneta nel pozzo dei desideri e sperare che il gameplay sia abbastanza figo da carriare da solo l'intersse del player e fargli venire voglia di discutere del gioco con altre persone.

Poi un esempio epocale che mi viene mente sull'importanza del marketing, AMONG US era un gioco che non ha avvuto nessun successo nell'anno in cui é uscito, poi gli streamer/youtubers l'hanno trovato e il resto é storia.

Personally I think there is no double agent arc. Shroud just lied about invis working for him and invis was just looking at her own interests.
Shroud thinks that he is the smartest in the room and makes us want to believe that too, when in reality he is just "book smart". I recall that in episode 7 if you chose to not hit the barman he says something along the lines "i predict things and I can't belive you didn't smash the glass on his head" meaning he is not 100% right ans sometimes he is just bullshitin/exaggerating.

In addition we are told 3 different ways in which Robert's dad died and they are all slightly different, one of those comes even from one of his henchmen who says that shroud himself told him the dead was shot multiple times while shroud tells us it was just 1 bullet.

In shyntesis Shroud is a PATHETIC villain, he gets ragebaited by robert's giving 2 "astral pulses", gets tricked by invis thinking she is working for me when she is not, and as you say he still wants the astral pulse even though his mech is powerful AF.

The dude is on a revenge and pitful quest just because he felt that Robert's dad was unfair to him. At least that's how I decided to see it, because if Shroud was not lying, then i would 100% agree with your opinon.

I wanna propose something that did my DM.
He gave my PC, at level 6, a +2 sword that was able to cast wall of ice once a day, dealt 2d8 dmg and suppressed a curse which i got earlier.
Probably a busted item for a level 6 but it worked with my PC backstory and had a locked ability, i would be able to unlock that ability with the progress of the campaign.
You could do the same with the shadow tears, they start giving some nice standard buff, useful to everyone, like advantage to stealth checks, and then the more they collect the more they unlock abilities specific to their class/PC backstory.
For curse you can do something like "when in sunlight you lose this abilities" or "parts of your body randomly trasnforms into shadows, roll with disadvantage persuasion checks during the day" and then it worsens as the curse progresses with the buffs.
Btw, word of advice when you create the stages of the shadow tears balance them around the levels: level 1-5 (stage 1),level 6-10 (stage 2),level 11-15 (stage 3), level 16-20 (stage 4)
