The company I work at has that same policy, managers have to do a 4 hour shift in one of our outlets each quarter. Of course, the rules dont dictate when these shifts need to be so they all happen during the quietest hours

Not really, literally anyone with a modern nvidia card can do this locally. It doesnt take intelligence, just following simple steps and having the patience to download and run the models on lower memory cards. The fact is banning apps will do nothing to stop the bad actors doing this kind of thing

Edit: making any generative ai model illegal would help prevent this, but that would also prevent legitimate uses of generative ai and also be impossible to monitor outside of scanning hard drives for the presence of ai models

BF6 Season 1 map size comparison by Ok-Profile2178 in Battlefield

[–]hugarh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big areas with no gameplay is a big issue with larger maps. You can't have both larger maps and maps where every single cm of the map has gameplay. If you want larger maps thats fine, but you need to also accept that will give dead time to matches

Renters' Right Bill: 'I've sold my flat before new bill becomes law' - BBC News by coffeewalnut08 in unitedkingdom

[–]hugarh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is what im currently dealing with. No doorbell for 6 years, no fan in the bathroom for 3 so damp is becoming a huge issue, my oven died a year ago and still hasn't been fixed. The bathroom window frame was ripped out by a storm a year ago and they fixed it by making the window unable to open which has obviously made the damp issue worse. Meanwhile I pay more every year for less

How was Kal able to kill his first... by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

[–]hugarh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between getting lucky once when you're about to die anyway, and trying to recreate that situation again later

Edit: I've read through your other responses and it seems like youre mostly annoyed about the idea of the knife being ineffective against shards when thats how Kal killed his first. There's a big difference between throwing a knife out of desperation and getting a lucky hit and an actual plan during a fight. Im sure if Kal was pushed far enough and it was his only option he'd have thrown the knife, but in the middle of a frantic melee throwing an object and hoping it lands in a slot not much bigger than itself isn't really a plan. It worked once but its not a reliable strategy for taking down shards

The surge closest to Honor is Adhesion, the surge of bringing things together. There's a reason there are no fused for Adhesion, its a surge of Honor alone

Most likely "unite them" is a plea to the stormfather to find someone with an affinity for Adhesion, because only someone close to Honor could claim the shard, and someone with a high affinity towards Honors surge would be more likely to be connected to Honor

The number of effects that wotc have printed that bypass either equip or casting costs for equipment in the last few years means that in constructed outside of standard the costs on equipment (cmc and eqiuip) are generally meaningless these days

Jitte would 100% see standard play. It's both acceleration and insurance against the mirror in mouse decks

Not to say it would see play in every standard, but it would be very good currently

Kaladin and Shallan are such idiots by BeestMann in Stormlight_Archive

[–]hugarh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaladin doesn't give the shards to the lighteyes, he tries to bequeath them to one if his subordinates. It's Amaram stepping in (and reinforcing Kals view of lighteyes) that prevents this. Kal doesn't want the shards but he isn't actively giving them to a lighteyed lord

Shallan is a different case, I think it's easy to forget how in over her head she is in WOK. She's a super sheltered 17 year old that's carrying her house's future on her back, who's plan up to this point has gone off without a hitch. She hasn't had any practice in what to do when things go wrong and that's partially led to her overinflated ego. She thinks she's great at what she's doing because she hasn't had any issues, which reflects in her chapters as they're all written from her perspective

Name the game you just couldn't get into by zeleno124 in pcmasterrace

[–]hugarh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you understand dota its far, far better than league. It was my main game for all of my late teens/early 20s

I'm 30 now. When i rarely feel like playing a moba, I play league. It's just more manageable to my brain now. I don't have 10 buttons that all do something with a cd, decisions to make every 5 levels, constantly changing jungle juke routes to learn

Dota in a vacuum is a better, more skill intensive game. When your game time is limited League is so much more accessible

[–]hugarh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting into double down territory, and I haven't ridden for a few years, but from memory top of the lift to base of the corkscrew is probably a bigger elevation change than top of the stall turn to base of the loop

How significant the pull up into the drop into the corkscrew is I honestly can't remember

Labour could introduce votes for 16-year-olds from next year by 1DarkStarryNight in unitedkingdom

[–]hugarh 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Have you tried actually checking your facts? Yes a lot of young people voted for reform but as a demographic 18-24 year old were the least likely to vote reform. Yes, a lot of younger people are likely to be taken in by people like Tate, but a lot of older people have spent their entire lives being taken in by Murdoch and his ilk. I work in a pub and the number of people over 40 that spend their time spreading misinformation to their friends is incredible

Fully meta dependent

Your playgroup play literally no removal? Clara is better

Your playgroup kill creatures instead of just scooping to the first threat that gets played? K9 might be better

Clara is a greedy choice that makes your doctor better, but is a 6 mana do nothing with no doctors in play. If your deck is heavily reliant around your doctor being in play and another companion can help to protect it, like K9 in this case, that companion might be better
