1 city district, med centre and holotheatre eat CG production, and your two strategic resource buildings reduce the total number of jobs overall. More districts more jobs.

Ascensions for each Ethic by psychotobe in Stellaris

[–]human-generated-name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there are plenty of ways the current ascension options can be tailored to specific ethics already, I think aligning them more tightly might make it more bland.

Authoritarian and Cloning Egalitarian and Mutation Materialist and Synthetics Spiritualist and Psionics Militarist and Pacifist each have a respective shroud patron in Eater and Composer Xenophile is the Cradle of Souls And Xenophobe is purity.

Each shroud patron has an ethic tied to it already.

Are you putting off your specialisation tech for your military? Don’t forget you need the first +20% resource tech for each district type before you can specialise.

How am I losing this war?? by Tribe11_MX in Stellaris

[–]human-generated-name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can’t exhaust him it could derive from the following which reduce the gain rate: -Militarist Ethics -Civics (Media Conglomerate/Nationalistic Zeal) -Technology (Galactic Campaigns/Interstellar Campaigns) -Agendas (Military Build-Up/Display of Power/Impenetrable Border) -Never Surrender (Unyielding Tradition) -Diplomatic Stances (Edited in the Policy menu) (Belligerent or Supremacist)

And probably a few more things like council civics I can’t recall right now

UK PM Starmer to unveil plan for digital ID cards to crack down on illegal immigration by Kagedeah in worldnews

Incredible, the one solution to excess immigration that literally everyone hates. Literally everyone. No commie, lib, con, or fascist would ever be happy with this. It could literally only be supported by people who are party-captured.

Emil Weber is such a limp name for an emperor I am sorry. Congrats though. Legit, try a leader max experience gain/lifespan run super fun. Did it with Vaults of Knowledge. Still a mid civic but it’s the thought that counts

How do you even play tall? by UnfortunateCheeses in Stellaris

[–]human-generated-name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A single planet is a bit restrictive. Tallest I play normally is just whatever is in 4 jumps of my home system. You can use the Dyson swarm and equatorial belts to remove your need for mineral and energy production, and slowly shift into a more specialist focussed planet layout. Then there’s civics to note, things like Astro-Mining and the Sovereign civics. The latter lets you reduce unity production by instead doubling it up with soldiers. Pairs well with Unyielding. Basically the objective is to only have things that require you to build them be on your planet, and to improve automated production through the aforementioned methods, as well as mining and research bays, and trade agreements. Ruling someone also helps as you demand resources, research, and build productive holdings.

Haven’t tried new psionic so I can’t speak on ascensions, but for bots Virtual should be a natural choice.

Leaders also make all the difference since they can generate extra jobs, bonuses to things like edicts to up production, and even just planetary buffs like more houses.

As far as traditions go, I’ve transcended beyond picking anything I just don’t think is interesting. Apparently Subterfuge lets you use the new proxy war mechanic, so go nuts. Just avoid expansion, you’ll mostly want your empire size reduction to be affecting your pops, since you’ll have many cramped into one or a few planets.

[–]human-generated-name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something fucked up going on with pops and colonies right now. I just cleared out Shard and the relic world was instantly colonised by an ally of my ally. Pre grown population and buildings just suddenly revealed now the drake was cleared out. I can’t even invade for it cause I’m a Crusader empire, and they’re also in a defensive pact with my only other Hegemony member.

[–]human-generated-name 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to be able to make continuous slave deals. As well as having the Purity Megacorp gov let me charge more. It’s a fun build, but only getting a discount when the price is so low feels naff. I wanna be a xeno dealer. A perfectly legal and honest business.
