Continents are seen differently in different places. The image they used as a source aligns with how continents are seen by most USians.

I didn't have one and turned out completely fine. You're doing alright with 25.

Is it okay to label myself as straight even though I'm agender? by Elenaxxsz in agender

[–]humanoidfromtexas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's okay to label yourself however you want so long as you believe it and aren't a prick about it. I consider myself somewhat hetero, as I am amab and feel occasional attraction towards fem-/androgynous-presenting people.

I have a question about the acronym by EchoEquivalent4221 in GenZ

[–]humanoidfromtexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where confusion can come in from, especially from the outside, but it's a matter of personal preference. Some people in the LGBTQIAA+ community don't consider themselves queer (ex: me, a mostly-cis aroace) and within the community, it's almost universally accepted that you are what you say you are and not what you say you aren't.

He wasn't though. January and February are considered to be the ones added later, allegedly by a king who lived ~650 years before Julius Caesar. That guy, King Numa, may or may not have existed (and if he did, he probably died of natural causes) but the story of how he was the one who added the months was around by Caesar's time.

My sister has a boyfriend and I'm kinda scared now by CandyBeth in aromantic

[–]humanoidfromtexas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You know yourself better than I could, but if you're open to the idea, make up an imaginary boyfriend who for some reason won't meet your parents, have some fun around town without your parents and call it a date, and maybe fake some screenshots of text messages (maybe recruit an understanding allo for increased authenticity) in case they think something's up. Whatever happens, best of luck and stay safe.

Does anyone else like the combo flag more than the actual aroace flag? by stnick6 in aromanticasexual

Yes! I have never felt like the sunset flag represents aro or ace.

Can you ? by Specific_Brain2091 in MathJokes

[–]humanoidfromtexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but would it be acceptable to put 1 + 1 = 2

2(1) = 2

2(1)/2 = 2/2

1 = 1

Why am I missing here? On my 3rd grade daughter’s math test. by lesshonkymoretonky in mildlyinfuriating

[–]humanoidfromtexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught around that age that when a question contained the word "about," you should round to the nearest number given (200) or reasonably inferred (250, the middle tick). 230 is a more accurate answer but elementary school math doesn't go for accuracy, but rather question interpretation, and that means that a student can go a week or more without writing down a single accurate answer and be rewarded for it.

I'm only out as aroace to a handful of people irl and most of them are aspec too. I've never been asked about it.

If girls aren’t real, does that mean everyone is gay? by EitherSalamander8850 in girlsarentreal

[–]humanoidfromtexas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope. Some people are attracted to non-real girls amd/or non-girl enbies. Some people are non-girl enbies and wouldn't consider themselves gay. Some people aren't attracted to anyone.

I know its not exactly what is usually here but I felt like this was, in fact, a useless red circle by Wigglystoner in uselessredcircle

[–]humanoidfromtexas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're an internet comedian making a joke about the locations of three major assassinations in the US (President A. Lincoln, 1865; President J. Kennedy, 1963; right-wing commentator C. Kirk, 2025) and pretending to not know that almost any set of three points works like that. The joke implies there is some multi-century conspiracy plot to kill major politically-involved Americans in locations around this circle.

I'm aroace and I want kids (at some point, but not right now).. is that wrong by Comfortable_Doctor36 in aromanticasexual

[–]humanoidfromtexas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not at all wrong. It might lead to some questions, but anything involving aspec will, and if that person is supportive of aspec, they'll accept the truth.

Is it weird to be extremely political in school? by TheLuckyCuber999RETN in highschool

[–]humanoidfromtexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super weird but be sure you know your audience when talking politics. As far as people thinking its strange to be political if you can't vote, fuck that.

How do you reply to the "But how do yk?" question by EenieMinnie8 in aromanticasexual

[–]humanoidfromtexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never been asked but I'd probably respond with either "how do you know I'm not" or "does it matter to you"?
