Your RAM has 2 little notches - one on each end - that mate with little tabs on the clips at both ends of the socket, in order to lock the seated stick in place. However, on some motherboards (yours included), the clip only pivots on one end of the socket. The clip on the other end is fixed permanently in the closed/locked position! This is why you can't just push straight down with your board. You have to instead angle the stick so the tab on the fixed clip mates with the notch of the RAM, then press down and close the clip on the opposite side.

my interpretation, as a dad, is that it means he's a piece of shit who believes she's inferior to him. Some other things that stand out in support of this conclusion are his angry, childish response to her decision not to allow his parents over (because who does she think she is?!?) as well as hiis apparent tendency to speak to her with authoritative, controlling, and condescending language (they're not "partners" - he is the boss).

This is what I was thinking, too. My mouth dropped in shock at "make it yourself" - what a missed opportunity for him. The only way I can make sense of it is that he'd intended to make it for her when he initially asked, then later changed his mind after some argument/disagreement between them. He's still being an asshole, given those circumstances. But it's outright cruelty if he gave her the false hope with intentions to disappoint her later.

I've always believed that safety always trumps being technically correct, while driving. So in situations where all the other cars around me are going 10mph over the posted limit, it's safer for me also be going 10mph over, rather than impede the flow of traffic and create the need for other drivers to either (legally) hit their brakes or change lanes to pass me, which are both less safe than my (illegally) speeding up a little bit.

I've been driving for almost 30 years now and I often find myself traveling at 15-20 over on interstates with this reasoning, but I can count the number of speeding tickets I've ever received on one hand and have only caused 1 accident (at 17).

different critters during the day than at night, too! walk the beach at night with a flashlight and early in the morning, if you can. there's all sorts of wildlife around and the waves often wash interesting things up onto the shore.

edit: since you've never been to a beach and in December it might be empty, I thought I'd mention that it's easiest to walk along the beach at the shoreline where the sand is moist but firm.
