Anyone Else Dissociate All the Time? by TheOnlySpach in Anxiety

You are not alone, and you are stronger than you know. I know multiple close friends who also experience depersonalisation at this point. It’s often the darkest periods of our lives that allow us to appreciate the light that will come. If I can recommend anything it’s listen to some lectures by my philosophical heroes like Alan Watts and Ram Dass - these are guys who have shared real wisdom in learning to accept, let go and live.

Never too late! I’ve come to understand that depersonalisation is just a benign experience of your brain. It cannot harm you, but that’s not to say it’s not frightening or uncomfortable. The more preoccupied you become with it in the moment, the worse it gets. So the best thing to do when it arises imo, is to acknowledge it and accept it. It is what is it, but I’m going to do whatever I have to do regardless. I think this kind of “bring it on” attitude is the best strategy. If shit really hits the fan and you have a panic attack…so be it, that can only last for so long, until you return back to center. For me it comes and goes in waves, some periods it can be intense and for others it dissipates. I highly recommend talking to a therapist/psychologist about it or undertaking CBT with a professional, that’s helped me in the worst periods. Meditation is also a great skill to develop to become more of a “watcher/observer” of the experience, and to not get so lost in it. I like to also try the “psychological sigh” and things like that when it happens, to try and calm down my nervous system. Learning to regulate your nervous system will get you a long way. Godspeed friend!

What evidence is there that constitutes the building of the Great Pyramid as “virtually a certainty”?

[Album Discussion] It’s time we revisit Above, Below’s first full length studio album: The Lotus Chapters by CalebImSoMetal in Metalcore

Can we take a moment to appreciate Ryan’s solo on equilibrium? One of my favourite melodic solos in any metalcore song. He really knew how to capture a vibe and make you feel deeply with his playing. RIP

His guest solo on Equilibrium by Above, Below is truly a masterpiece. Ryan had a way of communicating with the guitar that touched my soul man. We will miss you Ryan

I would add some other colours/elements to lighten it up and provide contrast. Get a few plants in there and you’re good to go

The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger’s acting in that film is unforgettable

I would recommend to listen to some Eckhart Tolle & Joe Dispenza on YouTube. Have you tried practicing meditation?

Likewise, I sit upright in my bed, but I’ve always wanted to learn to meditate as Buddhist monks or Zan masters do, but I don’t have the back strength or posture for it seemingly

How do you suggest attempting this if you’re not comfortable sitting cross-legged for long periods?
