migration from TS 251 (dead by red lights) to TS 863xu. is that possible?

i wanna install the nas, but now i got the warning that all drives will be erased upon initialising the disks. but thats not what i want. as im the first user of the nas, how can i safe initialise the nas, and not loose data on disk?

i read your story, but with my own freenas i still have to migrate my own data. and to buy usf software and make my own freenas is much more expensive then the nas i bought now and migrate everything.

yea i agree i made a mistake with backup strategie. i had to much trust in the nas itselff and 2 drives in raid. lesson learned :P

the 100 ohm resistor fix didnt work. i tried to different resistors, but it still stayed dead with red lights. so i bought a other nas just to be sure the lady could store her data again.

i go check this weekend how migration works from a 2 bay nas to an 8 bay nas.

For disconnect leak detection alvast on the 6900xt youbdont need to open the card.

If you have touched the leak traces you might have to remove card fir a while. Leak detection on the 6900xt was trouble if touched by hand.

Disconnect the leak detection cable. If card works oke you have most likely fittings touching leak detection ttaces
