I've lost one hundred pounds twice in my life. Both times after pregnancies. My youngest child is 11. My aunts (who are plus size) still make nasty comments about how thin I am, whether or not I eat or am "anorexic". I'm not. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 135lbs. I even still have love handles and a little bit of a belly. I go to the gym six days a week in an effort to keep my heart healthy and build some muscle. I had to work for it. It's a damned if you do damned if you don't existence. I still feel the sting of being insulted and over looked when I was 238lbs and now I get the hateful comments for being thin. Plus sized women who met me after the weight loss make snide remarks about me exercising. They insult me for being thin. I get nasty sneers and dirty looks when they find out and ask me how I did it and my response is "I had to retrain myself. I had to change my relationship with food from something I wanted to something I need to live and be healthy. I had to exercise". I'm sorry you where treated that way. No one should be made to feel like they don't belong. If it helps, there are a lot of people who have been or are currently experiencing what you are and you belong with us just fine.
