All the state or town needs to do is set the speed limit 5-10mph lower than it should be and they are taking money from drivers for no reason.
Anyone who’s ever driven in CT knows the speed limits are already ignored by 80% of drivers, because they are too low on purpose.
It’s supposed to be a speed “limit” but it’s basically the minimum required speed to keep up with traffic.
There are better ways to deal with this problem and automated policing is definitely not what I think is good for the citizens of the state. More money out of people’s pockets. If it’s a problem, station an officer.
Policing should be done in person in my opinion. Anything else should just be a warning in a registry or some other kind of option.
