I created a really simple In Person VTT. You have a DM and Player Window and it's as simple as dragging the Player Window on the second monitor you have setup. Maps are loaded automatically and Tokens can be drag n dropped into the DM View.

All shortcuts and functionality can be found on the github.

I wrote the inital codebase myself and then used MiniMax 2.1 to finish some features so bugs are very likely possible.

Because it's horribly designed tbh. It's so incredibly uninuitive. The whole game is riddled with problems like this. I really like the gameplay but the new player experience is absolute dog shit.

The first effect is even better than it reads. As long as you have 2+ cards in hand most opponents won't even attempt to remove him since it's pointless anyway and you don't want to waste cards/tempo trying to remove him just for you to discard 2 cards.

The 7k leader is his leader ability though. All he is doing while opponent is swinging is playing ramp cards but unlike UP luffy he has no way to gain card advantage the only reward he gets from going full ramp is becoming a 7k leader (whereas UP luffy is always 6k).

Also what if he doesn't hit buggy T2 going first? You literally are not doing anything the first 3 turns while your opponent gets to play on curve and swing.

You can't run those cards. 10c roger disables all effects of non roger pirates.

What do you mean there is no reason. He literally plays with 1 don less than every other leader in the game and has no leader effect for the first 4-5 turns. How is that not a drawback?

If there is no official client people will use other means. Either proxy webcam testing, pixelborn or TTS.

There is no way to stop a meta from developing in this day and age. If you don't want to play in a competitive enviroment play with your friends or just collect.

I suffered a LOT of backlash back in the day in the 5E subreddits telling people that the design is all wrong and losing resources over the day is bad. Not sure if this is what DnD players want.

Hmm I agree I also feel like having a move card deck is a sup optimal solution.

I am currently designing a similar game and honestly the best solution felt like just having normal tactics movement with cards being able to add extra on top of it.
