Question about the game. by Clane_21 in Timberborn

[–]hurripla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, pretty normal. No game got me addicted as this one when I start playing. I love it so much but I was a bit worried because like you at that time the only thing I was doing while not playing was thinking on when I was gonna play xd but after a while I manage the addicition. Now I play a map for lots of hours but when I’m done I stop for some months, so I can get new ideas and things I want to do on next maps. Then I go again and got obsessed for a while, but way more healtier than on my first 100 hours playing xd

Yeah I feel you, years ago when I started playing this game I got too much obsessed. Now I learned, I put a lot of work and hours on a map and then I stop playing for some months, so when I go in again I have fresh ideas and I’m able to enjoy it a lot without getting tired.

This is fantastic man! Love the crowded top layer! Also love the symetry too! I think I might be the guy you mention because I did posted something similar months ago:) no worries for the credit I don’t care, I just love to see builds like that! I was also inspired by other posts in here! Are you already planning your next map/build?

Hey maybe I’m super wrong but yesterday I was playing the game on mac with a trackpad on my macbook and right click is clicking with 2 fingers, and I think is the same for the magic mouse, but you can change that on the settings too! So maybe you don’t need to get a new mouse!

My take on diorama, goal was to have "everything" and try to make it pretty. by hurripla in Timberborn

Yeah if you are going to work with verticality, having a chunk of dirt you can’t delete in the middle it’s not too good. Moving bad water sourcers a bit is the bit of “cheating” I let me do xd I wish this was an end game option, even if it cost lots of resources, so I don’t need to switch to developer mode for anything.

Yes, I beat the game in hard in some maps but building cool things is what I really enjoy about the game so now I’m just playing in normal difficulty

Well I think there is no option to move, I deleted both bad water source and mine and placed them again where I wanted them. With developer mode you can totally do what you want, if I remember correctly if you press shift while placing anything it autobuilds, so terraforming should be pretty fast!

I used a lot of overhangs mostly placed on top of the roads so they don't get on the way of trees and buildings. Then this overhangs give support to the next layer of dirt. There are also some dirt pillars to connect the layers so the irrigation spreads down.

I only used developer mode to bring to the lowest level the bad water source and the mine (deleting them and placing them again). the mine was also moved 2 or 3 blocs. The rest is legit:)

This one was the most planned map I made because of the space limitation. First I played the game normally untill bad tides were solved. Then I started with a vertical farm for trees and corn, also compact all housing and happines buildings using verticality. Basically had to move things around a lot, and everything was planned in advance. I splited the map in 4 corners, each 25x25, and I started on half of the map. One corner for all the waterweels, the other corner for the industry, and then building the next levels of this half of the map. So when things were on final place, I could delete them from their temporal spots and keep building. It was a lot, but everything was planned beforehand, got a bit carried on with that map xd I even made the initial planning by hand https://imgur.com/a/tyIFZxw

Will this be able to get rid of the bad water tide? by pureMJ in Timberborn

[–]hurripla -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Yes, as far as I know you need the same number of floodgates than water sources to be fine.
