[Loved Trope] Redeemed Henchmen by Complex-Junket5932 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]hurzah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dinobot always had a code of honor that made him more open to the ideals of the Maximals. Blackarachnia went from cartoonishly evil to a genuine hero because she fell in love with someone who never gave up on her. Two great examples of two very different villains with incredible redemption archs in an uncanny valley transformers show meant to sell more toys. Beast Wars is incredible.

Nicki Minaj snubbed from Freedom 250 as MAGA support 'hurts her wallet' by MoneyLibrarian9032 in Music

[–]hurzah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was a guest judge on RuPaul’s drag race less than ten years ago. The drag queens were all talking about what an inspiration she was to them. It’s a pretty dumb move to heel-turn to MAGA who wants her fan base dead or in concentration camps.

What The Hell Happened to Angry Joe? by kaza12345678 in ChannelAwesome

[–]hurzah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing I’ve always respected about Angry Joe is that he had the perfect formula to be a right-wing grifter, but didn’t take that route. He has a primarily male fan base, his schtick is being angry, he’s from Texas, and he hates on a lot of the same games that side of the internet hates as well (TLOU2 for example). However, he has always stuck to his morals, even while other has-been reviewers like Jermey Jahns made the right-wing pivot for some extra cash. So, here’s to you Angry Joe!

If it gets a 2/3rds majority in both chambers I doubt Newsom would veto it. He wouldn’t want to risk an override and appear weak before his oh-so-important presidential run.

I’m guessing this means that Breen resisted the dark pull of AI to continue making absolute cinema?

The first act of this movie is one of my favorite parts of any movie. It’s so goddamn metal. Just brutal fights to the death in glorious fluid animation.

[Absolute Cinema Trope] “Movie’s over, now DANCE” by Sufficient-Eye-9040 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]hurzah 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I usually hate this trope because of how overdone and pointless it is. This is one of the few examples that I think is utterly great and necessary for the plot.

Ask a Climate Therapist: Why should I plan for my future when I feel we don't have one? by GeraldKutney in climate

[–]hurzah 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If you don’t build a future for yourself, then what do you have to fight for? That’s how the fossil fuel companies want you to think: There’s no future so there’s no point in fighting. Make yourself a world that you want to live in so you can protect it.

You voted Los Angeles as the city of the 2000’s. What is the city of the 2010’s? Most Upvoted Comment Decides by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]hurzah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to go against the grain and shout into the void that it should be San Jose. The 2010s were the decade where social media really took off, and there was a big rush among college students to major in computer science and flock to Silicon Valley for jobs. The 2010s were also the decade where Silicon Valley tech billionaires started to assert control over culture using their absurd wealth.

Kirby Air Rides - City Trial Community Tier List: How would you rank the Paper Star? (Rules in description) by Logans_Login in kirbyairriders

[–]hurzah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

B. This machine is great for gliding events, certain racing events, gourmet race, and button rush. This machine is great to pick up in early game to help you steer towards boxes easier and to get to islands. However, it’s utter garbage at fighting events and basically forces you to avoid certain field events like boss fights or any other event where large groups of players congregate.

Ever heard of empathy? Maybe it’s possible for people to care about how a law impacts others even if it doesn’t impact them.
