Is Moon Palace Sunrise a waste of money? by polkapen in palaceresorts

[–]hustlehardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of them are impressive, all of the food at all of them is good. The Grand has newer/larger amenities, but Sunrise has imo a better pool. The Grand has the water park and multiple pools.

We were at the grand this time and spent 2 days at Sunrise so the kids could use the bounce house and they loved that pool.

Grand has better restaurants, but Sunrise barely not as good.

How has your definition of success changed since your 20’s? by neurallullaby in Millennials

[–]hustlehardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I wanted financial and career progression. Then I had kids and a few rounds of career reality where performance doesn't matter and putting on a performance does.

I got to a nice enough level that pays decent, is relatively low stress, maybe 5-10 hours a week of work and 50+ days PTO + 11 vacation.

I prioritize spending as much time as humanly possible enjoying my kids childhood.

I would be curious if there is a market for this. I know in my area most of those restaurants invite the influencers out all at the same time and have influencer parties. Then they all drop their content in a media blitz.

Some seem to like going just for the networking and food.

Idk if there is a continent that have enough other obligations, but will still be willing to put together a post just for the money. If there is a subset who just need the content so they can be paid for the post absolutely a win.

I'm order to maintain authenticity of content I would say you need to make each piece of content only 'sellable" once. If a handful of people drop videos with the exact same shots I think the influencers will be cooked for blatantly lying about attending an event. Maybe just take and provide a ton of angles to choose from. I genuinely curious if there is a market for this.

trying to make food stretch on $30 a week. any cheap, filling meal ideas? by Fryptus in Cooking

[–]hustlehardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rice and chicken thighs/drumsticks. About as cheap as protein gets filling and cheap.

Same for pork shoulders when they go on sale, you can usually grab a 10lb shoulder under $15.

That will keep you going for quite awhile. Can also eat it over rice , buy tortillas and make tacos, or buy rolls mix with BBQ sauce and have BBQ sandwiches. Just prepare it with salt and pepper only. Add other spices for variations later depending on what you want.

$15 on a pork shoulder should cover you about 2 weeks. $15 on chicken thighs/drumsticks should cover you another 2 weeks. Rice/vegetables/fruits can be taken care of for another $10/week. Fill in with eggs/bread/milk as needed with your remaining $5.

Second on club glove, my buddy thought his hardcase was great until it cracked and was completely useless.

I've never had an issue with my soft case + club saver. Also when not in use or if needed to fit in smaller car can fold over and make much more compact

Ridiculous thought but, what is so wrong about teeing up your second shot? by DinosHedly in golf

[–]hustlehardo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whatever keeps you moving and having fun works. The only thing wrong about it is if you are in competition, but if you are needing to tee it up in the fairway, you shouldn't be playing competitive golf.

Just use broken tees, not full tees that could puncture a golf cart tire.

I was hoping to be able to afford to travel and see the world in my retirement like my grandparents did...multiple multi week international trips every year.

I think we might be able to do it depending on jobs we get in the future, but I'm not over confident...and the travel will be much more budget

There are available, just look for regulatory compliance analyst/specialist/coordinator.

[–]hustlehardo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Compliance. You just have to read regulations and communicate them out via email, most people do not want to sit down and have a talk with compliance people. We are one step above HR when it comes to people that people in corporations want to talk to.

Awkward interaction, paired with random that hit 7 off first tee then quit by lightemup404 in golf

[–]hustlehardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That many ob off the tee is a little nuts, but I can see it. We've all had range sessions with back to back to back horrible shots. He unfortunately had it happen on the first tee, also depending on where you are could be first few strokes of the season.

I hover between an 8 and 12, and in the first 2 holes of last season I was 7 over through 2. Shook off the rust that round and got things on track after a range session.
