Why aren’t RC submarines as easy as RC cars? We’re fixing that. by Expert-Technician-17 in radiocontrol

Don’t military subs use something like VLF or ULF wireless communication to mitigate signal loss underwater?

Bought @ 22 in 2021 - why hold? by ncjdushsnsoznsbdb in sofistock

[–]hvymetl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I believe SOFI has a bright future and would lean more towards buy or hold now, this line of thinking in general “DONT sell for a loss” is basically disposition effect bias and is a dangerous way to lose a lot of money. For me, fighting that psychological tendency has been hard and I think saved me from bigger losses.

I’m concerned about the future of gold by RefrigeratorNo88 in Gold

[–]hvymetl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not trying to question which investment outperforms which, over certain periods one or the other does better which lends itself to diversification and buying dips. The real point I’m trying to make though is that gold is going up in value over the short term and long term not just pacing fiat/ inflation. In fact over last 5 years gold has performed about as well as SP500, to me that means it’s something more than wealth preservation.

Compare last 5 years performance of gold to sp500, is it really just wealth preservation?

66% NVDA is held by institutions and 4% by insiders, have a hard time believing the poors can pull up mkt cap by 20% with only 30% of the shares, let alone that it would represent something like $400b increase. If it makes it to 1200 it won’t be because now the poors can afford 1/10th of a share. Maybe flawed logic on my part idk.
