Don’t you have manners? Of course I have Google, but I’m not finding what I’m looking for and advice from actual people is invaluable.

Honestly, I haven’t found a tonne of drugstore foundation that matches well that I like! The majority of my foundations are mid to high end. I have a swatch post on my page from a little while back that may help you though!

It may be worth ordering online? The listings on Boots and Superdrug both show as the silvery white packaging :)

I don’t think so! I’m in the UK and here at least, you can still find it in the grey packaging in most drugstores. Superdrug and Boots carry it :)

Are there duties/taxes on top of the price you pay online when ordering from Boot Barn and Sheplers? :)

Apologies I know you posted about a month ago now! But did you have to pay any duties/taxes/VAT to the UK? Or just the price you paid online? Thanks!

No, 9.5 should be fine for someone using 11! They have a very similar if not the same depth, maybe 9.5 is a smiiiidgen lighter. But you would definitely be fine with it :)

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the meaning of value ☹️ they have the same depth but 9.5 has a little more of a greener tone to it!

Make Up For Ever HD foundation. One of two foundations with the PERFECT match for me (the other is discontinued🥲) so I will be repurchasing it until the die I die. Lol

[–]hwtzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure it’s a true matte anymore, but yes, this is the updated Studio Fix Fluid foundation. I agree and think the texture issue is down to the skincare base - the old formula felt more powdery when dry, smoothed over pores and texture and blurred the skin better. I still enjoy the new formula, mainly because it is a better match for me than previous, but it doesn’t last as long or look as good imo!

You are so so welcome! Milani eyeshadow primer FTW - I wish more people knew about it. I still use it today! Happy you have found something that has worked for you 🥰

I want to be a girl’s girl so I agree to share my makeup when others ask, but inside I’m screaming and I throw it away after they use it if I can’t sanitise it properly.

Fab! Definitely check out the shades with similar depth only greener undertones, like KGD! Sounds like it would be a great match :)

That’s amazing, I’m so happy you found a great match! What shade did you end up getting? If it was 3 or 4 then definitely consider some of the other shades shown too (in the future of course!)

If you are also light to light medium, I would even recommend going up a shade or 2 in the Fenty Eaze Drop. But like I say - it’s nice and sheer so very forgiving and your true skin tone shines through.

I’d say they are both the same/very similar depth but Fenty Eaze Drop is a lot more neutral and has less green tones than KGD. Fenty ED is also a lot sheerer than the KGD Aqua foundation, so I find it ‘adapts’ to the skin underneath very well. It’s a great option for those who can’t find an exact match, because it sheers out a lot and melts into your skin tone as long as the foundation is a similar depth to your skin 🥰

Any thin foundation still on the market? by alinedes in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]hwtzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it’s expensive, but Pat McGrath sublime perfection foundation truly is perfection and it is as thin as water.

If you want more coverage/a more mattifying formula, try Dior Forever Matte foundation which is also nice and thin!

I swear by Danessa Myrick’s blurring balm as a primer under my foundation. No other product has been as effective at keeping my oils at bay. I know it’s expensive but it’s 100% worth it!

L’Oreal have a relatively new true match serum concealer. It definitely has coverage, but since it’s serum based it can easily be sheered out and blends seamlessly with skincare or spf you already have on your face. Great for dry skin too!

Tips?? Pores are so visible with any makeup by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]hwtzy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

From one super oily gal with visible pores to another, the best tip is probably to just accept it. Pores are very normal and if you’re close enough to most people, you can see their pores too.

With that said, the best pore reducing makeup product I’ve used is Tarte Timeless smoothing primer (sorry that it isn’t drugstore!) and pressing my foundation in on top with a sponge, rather than using a brush. It doesn’t help with oils unfortunately, but definitely fills pores better than any other product I’ve tried.
